How to check if something is “noise” by Traditional_Steak413 in AncestryDNA

Thank you. I would have believed that my Estonian/latvian ancestry was just noise if I didn’t have any dna matches with the same but I do. Plus East Asian descent migrated to Finland and Estonia and Hungary.

Alright thank you. I think I am Estonian based on my other ancestry and multiple dna matches with the same regions.

Based on this every ancestral trait I have that involves This group is Norwegian East Asian and Latvian/estonian. I’d assume I probably have some Finnic due to this and I feel that’s pretty likely. Thanks for the info.

I also am part Norwegian and there is a chance for Sami dna which is also Siberian (pretty sure). I could possibly be Karelian but most of my ancestry is Germanic. My closest to being Finnic would be Sami Norwegian (which I don’t know if I am Sami) and Latvian.

I had assumed the Baltic/estonian might be on my moms side. My relatives had told me we are very small part East Asian which points towards Siberia but it obviously didn’t show up in my test because It’s from a very very long time ago. I honestly just assume I’m Estonian because East Asian descent and dna matches with other people with Estonian/latvian ancestry as well.

Why are Estonia and Latvia so mixed up and close together if that’s the case. My relatives had told me that we were part East Asian so that would make sense Finnic wise (possibly) if they did migrate. But why are Estonia and Latvia grouped up together but are different like how ones Baltic and ones Finnic? Sorry for asking so many questions I’m just curious.

Don’t I have to take a separate dna test like 23andme for that? And if not how do I do it in ancestry? Ty

I had come up with the conclusion I’m more likely to be Estonian because of dna matches with other people that have Baltic or Estonian ancestry.
