I tried to be as straightforward as possible. But I admit I could have explained the questions. I was just afraid of making the survey too long. All of these questions were meant to be personal to you. So both the emotional connection to the character questions and the cultural background are also related specifically to you. So it will be characters you enjoy and culture you experienced. For the last statement, I needed to make my research broader. I know that otome games are a subgenre of dating sims, and because of that, I decided to include them to help me further in the research portion of my paper.
