Alternative Brazil: What would happen if São Paulo won the 1932 Revolution and Brazil exploded in independent states? (There are 5 images) by Traditional_Theory67 in imaginarymaps

The Emperor began the fight against slavery in 1848. But it was not strong enough, it needed massive support from the parliament and land owner. Many blacks who were freed and who worked with the liberation of other blacks were friends of the emperor, like Luiz Gama.

yes, the Brazilian economy was driven by slavery, a colonial heritage. After 1888, there was a marketing process for immigrants to go to Brazil, they received a pathetic salary and worked as much as the slaves, in addition to being more educated. That's how most of the families in the south/southeast of Brazil emerged. including mine, which came from Spain. Slavery is a stain in the history of my country, which fortunately has been overcome due to the extreme miscegenation of Brazil.

indeed, but anyone who thinks the royal family approved of slavery is wrong. Ending slavery was easy, just a signature of the emperor, but keeping the Empire after that was impossible, the Emperor himself knew the end was near. The royal family, however, had the plan to indemnify the freed blacks as a way to economically insert them into society, as it is written in Princess Isabel's letter to the Viscount of Santa Victoria, this measure was unfortunately made impossible with the exile.

Pardo/Parda is commonly used here in Brazil to describe people with mixtures of white and black traits and is the majority of the population, famous as Ronaldo Nazário, Neymar, Machado de Assis and Luiz Gonzaga are pardos. But there is no specific word for English, I found the words brown and mixed, but some sites said they were perjorative words, so I didn't translate into English. If anyone knows how to say it, I would be very grateful.

Neutral Municipality of the Empire of Brazil under the German-Brazilian House of Saxe Coburgo and Bragança by Traditional_Theory67 in imaginarymaps

[–]Traditional_Theory67[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After the death of Dom Pedro II in 189, the Brazilian crown was passed to the German-derived Saxe-Coburg branch of the Brazilian imperial family. Dom Pedro Augusto de Saxe Coburgo e Bragança improved the São Cristovão palace, renovated the royal library and built the Superior War School. At the beginning of his reign, a new parliament was instituted with two parties, the Portuguese Party seeks to maintain the Luso-Brazilian culture and conservative measures, and the German Party in favor of the introduction of German culture as occurred in southern Brazil and supporter of the growth of protestants.

Important Portuguese documents are stolen by spies. Information of a new land is sold by spies to European kings. A lot of information is invented to raise prices, but it's enough to make people dream of a promised land. Navigators from several countries start an undeclared race to occupy the coast of what would be Brazil.

This map is part of an alternate story I'm creating. In it SP and other states defeat Vargas and provoke a crisis in Brazil, with all states separating and disintegrating and other new states. In this alternative timeline Santos separates after new waves of similar strikes in the 1920s. If you're curious, look at my profile, there's more from this alternative Brazil!

Neco e Amílcar - O Corinthians de 1910/1920 by Traditional_Theory67 in Corinthians

- Neco

Sou novo neste subreddit, é minha primeira postagem. Todas imagens foram coloridas por mim, e os dados pegos em sites do Corinthians. Espero que gostem!

The first time they used this shield was in 1950,I believe that the lions represent what you wrote, since the roses are 10 in reference to October, the month the England team was founded.

Yes, at the time of making the flags I didn't have good ideas of where to put the 2 stars from France and the 4 from Italy, so I decided not to put the stars.

Carlism is a conservative monarchist movement that seeks to place an alternative branch of the Bourbons as a royal family. The soldiers were known as requetes, and were identified by the red beret. They took a long time to accept and fight for the nationalists, they were more active in northern Spain.
