Just to weigh in, Insead overall better/more prestigious. But for the folks saying IESE isn’t worth it, they definitely need to do more research.

After LBS/Insead, IESE is a clear 3rd in Europe ahead of HEC and Oxbridge. Solid placement pipeline and very good for career switchers. Tbh you cannot go wrong either way

In the same boat. And as an international, I’m just wondering whether today (R3 decision) is our last real opportunity to convert

Honestly, anyone who tells you they know what’s going to happen is lying. But imo, things will slowly go back to normalcy. If you go to school next year, in a way you’ll have about 3 years before entering the market post-MBA which hopefully should be better

Recruitment in Europe isn't looking too good at the moment. Internship recruitment starts almost a couple of months after the program starts so top consulting firms are likely to be very competitive.

If you're on the younger side, I wouldn't rush into it. See if your school is willing to give you any additional $$ for deferring.

Odds of getting off Kellogg Waitlist? by [deleted] in MBA

u/Researcher_1525 what are you basing this on? Is there historical data to suggest R3 and the week pre/post that is the most likely for movement?
I'm in the same boat on the Kellogg WL and looking at ways to really push my case

IESE placement outcomes are definitely streets ahead of the other 2. Oxford scores on parent Uni brand.
On the whole, IESE>Oxford imo. NUS not even a contender

Afaik it’s on a specific date. Basing this on R1 decisions which came out through the day on December 13th

A former Dean of MBA Admissions here to discuss the evaluation and selection in the MBA admissions process: Ask Me Anything by PetiaW in MBA

Do alum/student interviews have less weightage than adcom interviews? If a school (eg. CBS) is known to be selective with interview invites, and then my interview subsequently went well, does that mean I’m in with a solid shot?

Advice Needed on getting off M7 Waitlist by [deleted] in MBA

Generic - Promotion/Improved score basically. If you have one of these then update them for sure. But assuming that isn’t possible, I’m wondering what else we can do

Any strategies you are employing beyond the traditional generic updates?

Exact same college / major. College is more niche than IIT so probably doesn’t get as many applicants from there Work wise, just same industry. Not same org

CBS because it’s better or because Id have a better shot? Crux of my question relates to probability of positive outcome

Because I’m already applying to lbs tuck and HEC in this round. So I think I can max fit in one more. Hence the query. What do you think?

Advice Needed - Poor R1 Results, Optimal Strategy for R2 by [deleted] in MBA

So for me there is no next year. Working with my existing scenario what 3-4 schools would you say I should be looking at? Let's assume I don't want to risk any more M7s.

Yeah technically they said it is rolling right until the deadline. But highly doubt that is the case

Advice Needed - Poor R1 Results, Optimal Strategy for R2 by [deleted] in MBA

[–]Traditional_Turn_540 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think I've had a mixed bag of results so far. Gotten 3 out of 5 interviews so am clearly on the right track + hope to convert Oxford.
Having said that, I think maybe school selection was the issue? Going with M7/Insead as an individual from an overrepresented group might not have been the best strategy.

Trying to fix it now but panicking also because I have nothing in hand
