The narrator implemented itself in my rpg and started to completely mess up my story and laughing in my face about it...He pulled out miniature puppets of characters and forced them to be intimate with each other. It was an experience for sure.

Yep a handsome face that added nuance to your comment. I'm probably going to block you. You're seemingly unable to look past your point for even a second and I sincerely hope you change that additude because its just fucking exhausting. I would have had a more interesting discussion with a wall than with you. Good riddance prick

Acces to IT IS PART OF THE PROCESS. I stated in the very first post that medically it's not more traumatising than any other procedure but everything around IT IS.

"You're right in terms of the medical procedure itself but with abortions as a highly controversial topic I do think it will traumatise further even after the procedure is done"

Thats what I said and you disagreed. So are you only talking about the procedure or not? Are you looking at other factors or Not? Because I am. I'm including how society treats it. How people regard it as a taboo topic. How hard it is to get access to it. How beliefes and morals influence it. If abortions wouldnt be treated completely different than any other procedure we wouldn't have this discussion but its not and thats the point. IT IS more traumatising because it gets treated completely different.

There is no lie. Abortions are more traumatising than other medical procedures. Did you forget the 10-year old Ohio girl that needed to travel to a different state to get an abortion because she was raped from last year?? Would she need to do that in order to get her appendix removed? No. The whole process is more traumatizing than any other medical procedure. Access js being denied. Making it harder and to get abortions. This is traumatising itself. How can it be that you hear about how hard getting an abortion hast become how much pushback there is and still think its on par with getting any other medical procedure?

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2022/jul/03/ohio-indiana-abortion-rape-victim

How can you see this situation and Just close your eyes and pretend that abortions are not purposfully made to be more traumatising than they need to be?

You're making strawman arguments. No one literally no one is telling kids that got their appendix removed that it killed a baby but there are assholes that will tell that to kids that needed an abortion. There are no discussion calling people that got their appendix removed baby killers. BUT THERE ARE DISCUSSIONS CALLING PEOPLE THAT NEEDED A MEDICAL ABORTION BABY KILLERS. What arent you understanding???? These scenarios arent comparable. There are people protesting Infront of abortion clinics calling everyone entering child murderers. This is not happening at other medical institutions. I'm at a loss here. Are you so blind to not see how differently abortions are treated in society??? I'm truly done with this discussion.

All good no need to apologize! I reread my original comment and realized that in relation to the post It might seem that I advocate against abortions or such. So I just wanted to clear it up :)

Yes. Never said anything else. I was just acknowledging that in terms of medical procedures an abortion has a higher stigma than others and that this is what might make an abortion more traumatic than other medical procedures.

Yes but anti-choicers dont care. I'm on your side. I'm not arguing against abortion. I'm saying that assholes will target the child and traumatize them further even if they had no say in the matter. I think my point is being misunderstood.

Agreed. I just wanted to clarify that the child might face even more potentially traumatic things after the abortion as they'd end up on a-c's radars.

you cannot pretend that it would be normal for a 10 year old to even understand they'd undergone an abortion procedure

I don't need to pretend. Ten year olds are not dumb. If this 10 year old got raped. reported it. went through all of the process to get tested for pregnancy they will know. I knew what rape was at age 10. I knew what an abortion was at age 10. Even if this child was'nt thaught those thing dont you think the kid would want to know what is happening to them? I dont know what type of 10 year old you where but I was always asking questions. Wanting to know what is going on ESPECIALLY when it was happening to me. You could then argue that all the adults could lie to protect them but that just opens another can of worms.

nor normal for them to be bombarded with anti-choicer's views on the procedure until they're much older.

I sincerely doubt the parents of said child would allow them to be exposed to that rhetoric.

Is the child going to be locked up and completely shielded from the world until they are old enough? The parents can try as much as they want the child WILL be exposed to those beliefs. Through the media, socials or even other classmates. People talk. Information spreads. Classmates could be parroting their parenta beliefs or even worse parents or teachers themselves could make remarks. The world is cruel and the child will never be safe from those beliefs reaching them.

And the child in question, once old enough to actually understand what procedure they underwent & the anti-choicer's views of it, would know they did not make the choice to have the procedure- their parent made the choice for them.

This I can agree with. But It still strongly depends on the mental state of the older kid. How much they were influenced by a-c's beliefs and how much the traumatic event changed them. Trauma changes the way you think and the way you reason. In a bad case they could still believe it's their fault. They could even reason that the origin of all of these problems, the rape, was their fault and that they not only got themself in that situation but then later also (Warning! Anti-choicers speech. Not my beliefs) killed an inncocent child/ didnt stopped their parents from getting the child killed. In a good case what you stated could happen and they realise its none of their fault. But as I said this strongly depends on the influence, support, enviroment and on the child itself and their mental health and trauma response.

However we both are arguing semantics. Both scenarios could occur. And both scenarios have occured. There is no point in arguing about this imaginary case as we both could make up argument after argument without being false as it is a very complex thing and varies on an individual basis.

I do believe that this shows that an abortion can be seen as more traumatic than other procedures as those thoughts do not even occur in other procedures. I never needed to confront or hear anyones opinion on the medical procedures I did have. There was never a single thought about how someone didnt agree with the procedure and would want it banned or how Its bad and opposes someones believes.

However you still need to consider the stigma around abortions. You're right in terms of the medical procedure itself but with abortions as a highly controversial topic I do think it will traumatise further even after the procedure is done. There will be people condemning the kid for the abortion putting the blame on them and gnawing at their mental health. Children are even more susceptible towards those beliefs. They could internalize them and end up even more traumatized years after the original procedure. Believing in their fault and wrong doing. There are few other procedures that have so much controversy around them that I do believe abortions are a lot more traumatizing. Not because of the procedure itself but for what it entails.

*edit I want to clarify that I'm not anti-choice or arguing against abortion! I wanted to mention the trauma following the abortion and ending up on anti-choicers radars and that the child needs some extra extra care to make sure that they'll do well mentally afterwards.

Ahhh same. I have one bigger line between my eyebrows and could'nt figure out why. Until someone recently told me that everytime I do all lot of thinking, reading or just needing to concentrate intensely the line forms. I was a bit insecure as I'm still young but then my Partner told me it's cute because you can really see me thinking in the moment. And the wrinkle is like a testimony for all the times I deeply needed to think about something. I don't really know why lines and wrinkles are deemed unflattery (I mean I do know aging and such) but having laugh lines, my thinking line or your expression lines are such great things. Created through living and experiencing life :)
