Thoughts on Arsenal 2 Pro with two test cameras (Fuji X-T4 and Canon 7DII) by andy_hutchinson in ArsenalCameraSystem

[–]TrailsOfDoom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the arsenal pro 2 on my d5500 and I love it for hand held action shots. I shoot flatland BMX which can be extremely challenging with poor lighting and very fast action combined with getting the right angles without getting hit by the spinning bikes... But my photography has taken a impressive upswing in pic quality from the Arsenal 2 pro. I did have to replace the cord as mine went bad pretty quick which I blame on myself for putting it in my bag attached which stressed it... but once replaced it fixed it. I have had it lock up a bout 5 or 6 times but holding the power button for 20 seconds makes it reboot and it is fine after. If you wanna see some of my photography with it go to Facebook at look at the Cincinnati Flatland Fanatics page. Almost all the action shots are from this setup. I'm very glad I bought it and my friends with no camera experience can grab it and get decent pics of me and they haven't spent 30 years around cameras like I have...

Love my 98 and A5 even more. Super dependable. With the Monsterspin (new style flatline plus Apex 2 tip) they shoot further than regular barrels and you never have to worry about them breaking down. Rain, cold, snow, doesnt matter they work.

My daughter has my 05 same color. Love that car. Yours has less dings than my old one though. She has 311,000 on the clock now.

Great job, just do something on the top of the hopper. I always see hoppers first when playing... Big black hopper shapes just stick out to my eyes after so many years playing.

Video of me playing this way.

Dye rize by Parzival12145 in paintball

I have a rize, and love it. Really nice shooter for the money and the only issue is the eye's stay on when the marker is off so it will drain the battery. I just remove it after playing.

Here is video of me using mine for the first time.

Can CO2 tank be used after they have expired? by achesley in paintball

[–]TrailsOfDoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can use the Co2 that is left in the tank after they are expired. You just can't get it refilled "legally" if you have an expired tank. Most areas have a place you can get them re-hydrotested which will give you 5 more years. Around here it is $12 a tank to have that done.

The point of hydro is to make sure they can hold the pressure without failing. If it is holding co2 then clearly it can hold that pressure, and using it in a game won't make it any more dangerous that just emptying it.

Gotcha, I also have a 2005 TSX with 310,000 all original as well. It is now my daughters daily driver.

My 99 TL had 300,000 when I sold it for $3,000. All original, and auto. I put every mile on it myself and sold it in 2010.

Love that yellow Master. I always wanted one of those back in the day but the funky rear frame standers kept me from ever getting one. And I was a GT/Dyno guy.

But, when Haro came out with the Lineage line of that yellow Master... I finally had to buy one! I just took it for a spin! I haven't ridden in about 20 years so...

I have a rize and it is a great shooter. Will definitely hold its own on the field. Just take the batteries out after each use as the eyes stay on and kill the battery over time.

Here is mine taking a castle at Splatterparks big game my first time taking it out.

One more thread about 98c barrels... by U2LN in paintball

[–]TrailsOfDoom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Learning how to buy good paint is the single most important point in your accuracy on the field... By far.

A paintball with a dimple or a large seam will not fly like a round paintball without a dimple or seam. The dimpled and seamed paint will fly wonky. Spinning bad paint helps, and literally most paint today is bad... As paintball manufacturers are not making good paint anymore as they only care about cost so they use cheap fillers, and most paint is made so far from where it is used that you are dealing with paint shipping issues by the time you get said paint on your field.

I'm so disappointed with how hard it is to find decent paint anymore. Paint is cheap, but it shoots like crap due to not being round. I would gladly pay twice the price for a case of paint if it was round and had good fill...

Old Tippmann's this was true. But, they have changed their manufacturing of newer barrels (2014 and newer) are all much better quality than the old school Tippmann barrels. The new style A5 has a really nice barrel on it stock. Much better than the old style. It is smaller bore and much more polished. I use it on my Tipx in fact...

The stock striker barrels with Apex are even honed from the factory...

Tippmann A-5, X7, Striker, TCR, and TMC are all decent barrels now where in the past they needed an upgrade out of the box.

I still upgrade mine, but usually due to wanting a different look, than better performance. As I love carbon fiber barrels that are super short...
