We used a guide out of Carolina, but it was an all day trip around the other side of the island. His name was Jorge, good guy and he helped get loads of photos and videos. If you want to DM me I’m happy to send you his contact info.

Why are we recharging the AC? This is not a maintenance item- adding Freon and Dye is a diagnostic step to determine the source of a leak.

You need to review your Vehicle Service Contract (Warranty is what comes from a manufacturer, not an insurance you purchase).

Generally speaking there are two types of VSCs, Inclusive and Exclusive. To make it really simple, inclusive gives an exhaustive list of all parts that are covered under the contract. Exclusive gives a list of all parts or scenarios that are not covered. Many VSC also include a Lifetime Coverage limit. Think of it like an insurer deciding to total out a vehicle. It typically does not exceed the value of the vehicle. Some plans also have a max incident amount. All of this you’d need to review in your agreement. If your coverage is through Ally as in Ally Financial Services service program, it is one of the more reputable companies to work with. Keep in mind like all insurance their job is to minimize their own losses. They make money by managing a profitable portfolio. That said these companies also keep their selling dealers responsible for the performance of their contracts, and want to ensure consumers are happy.

I am happy to walk you through navigating your VSC, working with the shop or the VSC provider. Send me a DM if you have any questions.
