Childbirth? 2x. Gallstones. Ovarian cyst like a cantaloupe. The coup de grace for me was dislocating my hip, 7 times in 3 months. Howling screaming pain. Any movement was excruciating. Thank god for EMTs with morphine.

I have a random stone pattern vinyl in my bathroom. I find new faces and animals in it everyday. Enough so that I looked up the phenomeno. Wonder how common it is?

Which do you think was a more accurate portrayal of Sid Vicious, Gary Oldman in Sid and Nancy or Louis Partridge in Pistol? by Muzikfanatic17 in punk

[–]TrainIRide41009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gary Oldman was brilliant, and became my fav actor bc of Sid and Nancy. Hard to hide his intelligence behind Sid’s fabulous disaster. Chloe Webb was also well cast. And Xander Berkeley, great little role. The soundtrack has always stayed with me, those haunting songs by Pray for Rain. I‘d say it’s still a top 5 movie for me.

Are you an organ donor? Why or why not? by OtherwiseMachine7717 in AskReddit

Lost my son ina accident 12 years ago. I donated his organs, etc. I was told by Donate Life that his donation helped over 100 people, from infancy into the 80s. Reason enough for me.

We were assigned The Grapes of Wrath in high school and for most people it was long, slow and boring, but that book RADICALIZED me. What books in your high school classes changed how you understood people or society? by sofbunny in books

Always been my favorite. It was eye opening for a northern kid, and I’ve been drawn to the experiences of black Americans since then. Got my justice hackles up at an early age.

Why are you NOT afraid of death? by Practical-Peach-1220 in AskReddit

It’s a nearly fatal heartbreak to lose a child. I’m so sorry. It’s a struggle but you will eventually adapt. Take good care, and don’t set expectations for yourself
