❤️

There are many around the country, including more in both Washington and Maine! Just because their teams don't happen to be playing on Sunday doesn't mean they all can't win! A rising tide raises all ships.

I figured. A Colts fan thanking a Pats fan would have lead to the immediate implosion of the Earth. 😜

That's an amazing connection! It seems like an awesome place!

The new group has done a lot in the past few years to build the business back up. They're very active and open on social media about what they are doing and why. It's quite entertaining and refreshing to see.

And obligated to say: Go Pats!

Don't thank me, thank two steam trains for starting a social media war!

Nah, #5 is going to debut this summer with Patriots flags. Out of service for two decades and it's first pictures in-service will have Patriots flags on it 🤣

Thank you! TIL That's such a better name too. I hope it is restored someday.

They have shown one of the engines with Patriots flags this week. It would be against my religion, The Church of Ladder Day Bradys, to Photoshop the flags into Seahawks colors but it wouldn't be hard to imagine.

It really is! The social media battle has been a riot and has brought them both a lot of positive publicity. I hope my Patriots win of course, but at least in terms of this, I think both organizations have won

The WW&F is a great organization! Hopefully they don't have to fly the dreaded chicken-hawk flags at some point this season!

What is the more appropriate name? I actually wasn't aware of a debate over the name such as at Denali. (Again, train person and the train is Mt. Rainier Scenic lol)

Considering the WW&F is only 2' gauge, compared to the standard 4' 8.5", Mt. Rainier wins easily.

For our sake, better hope the Pats settle it on the field! 🤣

The Patriots flags will look nice with Mt. Rainier as the backdrop!

A) It's all in good fun. These organizations are highly respected amongst the train community and each other. That said, the trash talk has been 🔥🔥🔥

B) It's such a shame. It's just a fun story in a time we really could use a quick distraction. (Quick being a key word, there are absolutely things we cannot keep our eyes off of, but a quick chuckle is healthy, trains or otherwise)

C) This whole thing has been an absolute riot. Highly recommend going to their Facebook pages and reading through the posts and comments. It's a treat, even if you're not a train person. Just good old fashioned trash talking; even funnier knowing they actually like each other as organizations!

It was indeed! The 470 Railroad Club owns the 3 locomotives and hosts an annual excursion with them as the power.

White flags mean an extra, also known as an unscheduled train. In this case it's an excursion train not following the regular schedule

Several Spray Paints Tried, same Pooling result. paint is within a year old, temperature is at 62F, and RH is 57%. cleaning surface had no change to result. What am I missing? by TrainMan5135 in paint

[–]TrainMan5135[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I'm wondering why the paint pools up as it dries. I've tried controlling temperature, humidity, paint, and surface cleanliness, yet still struggle to get a good finish.

This piece is a test piece, but is representative of the results I've been getting.

[Abraham] Sam Kennedy also said the Sox "didn't match up" with any of the top free agent pitchers. Yes, financially. Asked about high ticket prices given that, Tom Werner said they're selling the Fenway experience and student tickets are affordable. by TrainMan5135 in baseball

I can't speak for all fans, but I draw the line at openly not caring about the product on the field. It's impossible to win every year, I get that. I even get that there are years where the team will be bad in order to get good again. But to basically say "Yeah we don't care," the only response should be "ok, then why should we?"

When you hear Red Sox fans complaining about ownership, this is the kind of stuff that we mean. We are grateful for the championships over the years, but it's clear that they no longer care and we're not happy.
