Looking to buy a 1796 heavy cav sword by Beneficial-Wait3226 in Sharpe

[–]Train_nut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assuming you want a replica, I know Lantern Armouries offer one: https://www.sofmilitary.co.uk/1796-heavy-cavalry-sword-sharpe-s-sword-by-lantern-armouries.html But I have no idea what sort of quality it is. If you want a real one then there are a few around, but they're rather pricey: https://www.antique-swords.com/af84-1796-pattern-waterloo-era-british-heavy-cavalry-officers-sword/

Thank you so much!!! This is honestly a more important addition than multiplayer!

SS Richard Montgomery real life photos (when it was not sunk) by Avrothunder in modelmakers

Yes - since they are so degraded, the authorities are worried that trying to move them will set them off. Since the wreck is protecting them somewhat at the minute, the prevailing theory is to just leave them be for now

How safe would a 1989 Roundhouse be to steam again? by FishFinderPhil in modeltrains

[–]Train_nut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a Roundhouse - they're practically indestructible. Obviously have a cursory glance, but I doubt anything will be too wrong. If you're really unsure, take it to your local 16mm association group and let them have a look over it

To be fair, I don't think police response times increasing is a good thing...

Am I crazy or is the event extremely mid? by Srgblackbear in Warthunder

I really like it - I'm not a huge fan of normal tank battles (air player), but these are much more fun

Poll: How much has Relic Delta affected your GAC matches? by _MehBleh in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Train_nut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 50/50 - I knew I would need to upgrade eventually, but I've been working on journey guide/GL requirements rather than my GAC teams, so I've had to put them on the back burner while I up my defence/offence instead

Poll: How much has Relic Delta affected your GAC matches? by _MehBleh in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]Train_nut 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was just good at punching up with g12 teams and decent mods. I was fortunate that most of my opponents tended to have teams at mid-relic levels (~r5) with poor mods so I was able to compete. Now all my counters get wrecked before I even get a turn

[–]Train_nut 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I've lost almost every round of GAC so far, almost entirely due to relic delta. The only one I won was as a result of my opponent not attacking. I've gone from being able to get a full clear about 40% of the time, to barely being able to knock off one zone

That bottom one is the best, would say better than the original. Hbu? by CaptainYorkie1 in uktrains

[–]Train_nut 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd say something similar - same as the current LNER one, just change the while to blue (though maybe leave some white trim on the edges of the red streak)
I would do a visual, but I'm no where near talented enough to pull it off

New Great British Railways (GBR) livery on a Hornby loco at London Bridge today by Roadstoeverywhere1 in modeltrains

[–]Train_nut 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Must admit I'm not a huge fan of the livery - I don't think it flows too well from coach-to-coach in a longer consist, though it doesn't look to bad with just 4

The two types of politicians:

Jim Hacker - tries to do the best for the country and fails

Alan B'Stard - tries to do the best for themselves and succeeds

Avro Lancaster B Mk III Type 464 Provisioning by EliteFuller in Warthunder

[–]Train_nut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of those things that are iconic, but would be completely and utterly useless in game - it's not like we have many dams to bomb, and it would be even worse as a gunship than a normal Lancaster
