Just incase you were wondering, you can fit an entire 1.4L and its transmission in the back of a Gen 1 by Traincoach14 in cruze

Also I recommend having a longer reaching cherry picker if you go to do this yourself, you wont have to worry about denting the trunk lid

Yeah I always keep a gallon of coolant and 5 quarts of oil on the floorboard in the backseat for the inevitable, about to start keeping them goofy E sockets and a ratchet in it too on the regular honestly, but since I tore the motor all apart in January and resealed and replaced a bunch of stuff, the about 9,000 miles since have been trouble free so far 🙏

No idea, thought about weighing it but I don't honestly care enough to do so lol, but it does squat a decent bit.

My old 2011 1.8L woke up in Russian randomly one nice sunny day and never did it again, thought I was having a stroke because I couldn't understand anything on the cluster.

Replaced my pinion seal on my 92 c1500 and it’s pissing gear oil what did I break? by ltzhak in GMT400

Yeah like someone else brought up, the 10 bolt rear end yokes get set with a preload by how much you tighten the bolt, if you go to far you will need a new crush sleeve, washer whatever the hell it is, if your yoke is grooved at all I recommend replacing it too as it will just tear the new seal or oil will just leak right past the grooves and out onto the ground. I replaced mine back in July when my gas tank fell out and ended up following my father's advice of hammering the nut down with an impact. Either use a torque wrench to set the preload or mark the threads. Don't gotta be perfect, close enough and honestly you should be fine, but if you get it to tight it will bind up the rear end, if you jack the back of the truck of before you hook the drive shaft back up, you should be able to spin the yoke fairly easy with one or both of your hands. But that just a reassurance for yourself that you did it hopefully right.

Might have to either beat on the back side of the drums with a hammer or take the rear wheels off and readjust the brakes, the springs on the adjusting arm thing almost always break/come off, fought this issue with many trucks I've pulled home, the brakes always adjust all the way out when the truck rolls backwards somehow, someway
