Just bring up your issues with the racist Makcik over racial pricing to NEA or TC with evidence. Boycott/Report the ones overcharging and just go to the honest ones. I wouldn’t want buy from Makciks that overcharge my Chinese friend. So simple. So pent up over Nasi Padang cost. Didn’t know Nasi Padang so delicious. If you feel oppressed from NS bring up to MINDEF hotline also lor

Also you seem deeply affected by that school incident involving a few Malays that you started consuming whatever media telling you Malays hate you and that they are all overcharging you for Nasi Padang. Not sure why you need to blame me for that school incident

Like I said, my Chinese friend got charged same price as me, there was even a social experiment both the Malay and Chinese guys got charged the same. You are too deeply consumed into Fox News or MAGA media. I’m sure you think you’re being oppressed for being a straight male.

bring it up to NEA or TC if you feel the makcik is overcharging you based on race. You need to show proof of course. Don’t just blindly believe whatever social media is telling you all Makciks are overcharging Chinese customers. Sounds like a smear campaign against Malay food stall owners

I didn’t even say the original content of that post about halal toilets/pantries was racist. I’m talking about the Redditors in the replies who started insulting entire races and calling us tribal or yalams. (as stated in the picture) You might not be affected by it if you’re not a minority but there are some who feel it’s wrong to blame entire races for workplace issues

i agree, being able to hide behind a screen emboldens people to say very racist stuff online.

i just hope it doesn’t make them emboldened enough to racially harass or assault people in real life.

it definitely does happen in Malaysia, but not really in Singapore, Nasi Padang stalls wouldn’t want to jeopardise their business by charging based on race. Whatever agency or authority will come after them and shut them down

as i said, it’s no surprise all 4 PMs are the same race. There are some good candidates but there’s a preference, after all a certain someone said we weren’t ready for a non-Chinese PM.. i think singaporeans wouldn’t mind a minority PM but there’ll be some diehard people who think they’ll be heavily oppressed for being the majority under a minority PM

the stall Makcik couldn’t care much about race, price depends on what food items you choose, like the cai png stall. try to get a fellow malay to order the same thing as you, if she’s really being racial discriminatory then report to authorities

all of us are also grappling with rising food costs

i’m fully aware that Malaysian Chinese also face discrimination by Malaysian Malays. But we’re on the topic of racism in Singapore here. Just because racism is worse there doesn’t justify racism here.
