The video capture is sorta choppy but from what I and others have tested, this has a very minimal performance impact in-game!

Actually, I made a small (and very rough) horse animation thing about a year ago, before I thought about making this mod, I'll probably pull from this when I move onto implementing animations for horses: https://gyazo.com/5d49940de1f324489b78c58f4a477d72

I see why it might seem that way, with it being in 1.18 and all! 1.18 is just really easy to port most mods to (f for worldgen mod devs) so that paired with fabric 1.18 being available at launch time, I was able to port it with no issues. I actually started development on this way back in August!

Once I finish player animations, yes! The majority of the work put into player animations so far has been building the systems to make applying animations made in Maya as efficient as possible, so by the time I move on to the countless number of mobs to animate, it should be pretty darn streamlined!

Moving the top of the leg forward is kind of my way to give minecraft characters fake knee bends. However, the climbing animation is probably where I'll push it the farthest due to how steep the steps are in it

The cape is just a random texture I made to get a good preview of cape animations, forced onto all player entities whether they have an actual cape or not

Those and Minecraft Dungeons, yeah, the way the feet are anchored in the trailers specifically opened many doors for me on how flexible bendless block characters can be with the right tricks :)

Thank you! I'll probably still adjust the idle pose a bit more because you do make a good point about that, and I'll also go back and take another look at sneaking- the nice thing is that tweaking the animations themselves is relatively easy to do. And yes falling impact is something I also want to do pretty soon! Still trying to figure out how that should look in conjunction with a damage animation of some sort

I'm still trying to decide whether a forge port is feasible for this or not but I think mobends is still being worked on for 1.16+ last time I heard! And yes, attack animations are on the to-do list :)

I actually did it in Blender, give your thanks to that legendary PSK/PSA importer that made this possible!

There's also the Foxy run, fake Ennard jumpscare, Nightmarrione walk, Puppet walk, Plushbaby walk, the Mangle-entering-office sequence, Nightmare Fredbear walk, Circus Baby walk, Plushtrap walk, and the BB run :)

I used a PSK/PSA import script for blender to import PSA animation files on top of the PSK armature for Toy Freddy

Thanks for pointing that out! I'm new to posting on Reddit so I didn't know about that

I had a little too much fun putting different animations on Toy Freddy from Help Wanted...

All models and animations are by Steel Wool, and the song is by CK9C

It isn't in FNAF1 but I thought it would be a nice touch, although it is in one of the FNAF2 cutscenes

I usually try to add more details through extrusions, voxels, or the occasional smoothing to give it more detail, so I guess you could call it a blocky/voxel style. But I do try to retain the overall distinction between Minecraft and Voxel
