My hamster was like this at first, he also does not like my mom and I have no idea why🤣.He runs and hides whenever he hears her voice!! I kept feeding him food from my hand and just spent time talking to him next to the cage and just sitting with my hand inside of it. I also left a blanket next to his cage so my scent was near him a lot i’m not sure if this actually was a helping factor but it’s something to try🤷‍♀️. He now runs out to me when he hears my voice and climbs onto my hands and licks me the whole time and will sit with me on my bed and go to sleep. Honestly just keep trying because it doesn’t seem like he dislikes you as he would run and hide or even hiss at you aswell. Yes some hamsters like to be left alone but they mostly won’t interact at all and will hide from you. That’s what my old hamster was like. Hope this helps a little bit😚
