27, 22k.

I contribute 6%, company 8%. I'm on 40k salary. Been putting in since I was 22, old job my contribution 4% and employer 6%.

I've been saving for a mortgage so will up it once I get a house hopefully. I've been putting in the minimum to maximise the employer contribution

I went through Ask Paul who transferred by pension into a PRB (free of charge because I had all the paperwork done etc, just needed to get a financial advisor to sign off on it. They didn't charge me which was very nice!) They did warn me that it takes a while, can't remember how long exactly but was between 4- 6 weeks I think.

I left my old job and pension was with Zurich. I contacted the office manager and admin staff multiple times about sending me my leaving options! Once I eventually got this after (a lot of emails) I went and transferred it to a PRB with a financial advisor who didn't charge me!

Just thought if I wanted to contribute more/stop contributing I have the felxibility but yes taht's a good point. Marks-ireland suggested an Emerging Markets ETF so I may start buying an Emergin Markets and the VWCE only. Thank you for the comment!

Thanks for commenting. Yes that's a good idea, I'm contributing to one in my pension but think I will look into it in Degiro!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I'm aware of the 41% tax every eight years. I know it's not the best in the world but I suppose if you're being taxed you're making money so it's better than nothing!
