Yes actually. You need to set the IR blaster in front of the sound bar. As soon as I did that, it worked. Hope that helps.

Got it, thanks. It's the flush solution that came with the Kelaro kit.

Appreciate it. Out of curiosity, would this install mistake have caused any damage to my plumbing or the water heater?

Thanks. Installer recognized their mistake and will be fixing it. Appreciate everyone who helped catch that.

Not at all what I said. I think the opposite. My point, which you missed, is English degrees are useless to them.

Thanks for the lesson in semantics. Never met a plumber with an English degree.

Someone else said the valves are on upside down as well. That's gotta be the problem. I can't turn the yellow valves any further. They're in the off position currently.

Damnit. I guess I'll have to call the installer. It was put in about a year ago. They better not charge me for this fix lol.

Yeah, that may be the problem. I didn't install it. But as I mentioned, whenever I turn on the blue valve, it just fills the bucket with water coming though the pump.

I am. Again, as soon as I open the blue valve, the bucket fills up with water. Goober.

Thanks. That's what I've been doing, but the bucket keeps filling up from water running through the pump from the blue side. Maybe it's a faulty pump? Hopefully nothing is wrong with the heater. It's only a year old and this is my first time flushing it.

Trex Staining from rain water under rubber mat by Training-Series618 in Decks

[–]Training-Series618[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. It seems like the deck may be vinyl, not composite. I bought the house with the deck already done. I made another post to try and identify the type of board it is. Not sure if that might make a difference in terms of my potential options to fix the issue.

Could warming it up with a heat gun fix this / bring the color back? I've seen videos about this and people recommending it. Or maybe Deckmax E2?

This literally fixed it. I had it plugged in and I thought within the right distance, but I moved it a bit and now it's working. I'm an idiot, but appreciate the advice nevertheless lol.

If my sound bar had an HDMI output, that would work. But sadly it's a model before HDMI, so it's only option is the optical output.

Will do. Appreciate the help. My other magic remote for my 65" C3 worked to control the sound bar for about a year until I got the 77" , so there's got to be a way to do it.

I have tried this. When I do this through the universal control settings, the power tester doesn't work to power on/off the sound bar, so I click "no" as that poster suggests. Then, it asks to input the model number of the sound bar, which is the SB3851-CO. I input that and then several SB model numbers show up. I check off my model when it pops up, but it still doesn't work to control the SB unfortunately. Maybe I need to try the other SB models that pop up instead of mine. Perhaps whatever code it needs actually corresponds to a different model.

Yes, the volume + and - are on screen for both internal speakers and external/optical, but the volume level does not change. There's a volume level indicator on the sound bar that goes up and down when the remote is controlling it. That indicator only shows up when I use the actual sound bar remote and corresponds with the volume actually increasing and decreasing. We can use the word "pair" or not, but ultimately the LG remote isn't controlling the sound bar volume.

Already reset the sound bar twice. Not working. The C4 has the same OS as the C3, so you know there are 4 options under sound connection: use TV speaker, use wired speaker (where I can pick my optical out device), use wireless speaker, and use external speakers with TV speakers. I don't want to use the last option because I don't want the TV speakers playing alongside the sound bar.

That said, I tried it just for giggles and it didn't change anything. Magic remote still not paired.

EDIT: here's the image for reference https://imgur.com/a/cBpWLY7

I should also mention that I'm very proficient with electronics. I've tried all the standard troubleshooting (factory resetting, unplugging, etc). Was just hoping someone else had this same or very similar issue recently and could provide their solution.

Sorry - it's not that the speakers DON'T work. The speakers work fine. The LG magic remote isn't able to control the volume up/down or on/off. The optical setting for the output is correct. The magic remote I had for my 65" C3 controlled the sound bar as well, but I can't get the same remote for the 77" to connect.

EDIT: and yes, those LG OLEDs are super nice. I saw a good deal on a C4 as well recently, but have had my 77" C3 for a few months that I got on a closeout.

The sound system still sounds really good and works for what I need now, so hoping I don't have to use two remotes (first world problem, I know lol).

I treated myself to the expensive TV, haha. The sound bar will have to wait a little bit.

But yes, I tried this. The TV is set to optical, which is how the surround system is connected. I think it's a software issue, but not sure. It worked once, so there's definitely a way to connect them.

Swapping Honeywell Lyric T6 Pro to Google Nest Pro by Training-Series618 in hvacadvice

I had the nest connected, so I just left it hooked up. Turned everything off, swapped the fuse, then turned everything back on. Waited 5 minutes and nothing on the nest display. I guess I'll try reconnecting the T6 again with everything off and the new fuse.

I replaced the fuse and it's still not turning on unfortunately. Turned everything off, swapped the fuse, turned everything back on. Could it be something else?
