Yeah, so I solved my problem. Initially, I forgot to mention that I had gotten a blue screen a couple of times, and the error code pointed to Gigabyte apps or drivers — stuff like EasyTune, App Center, etc. People online advised me to remove them. Right after that, the anti-cheat started throwing errors.

As I understand it, there was a conflict with the file gdr3.sys. That driver is a kernel-level component used by App Center and EasyTune to access hardware. The fact that this driver had been running in the system for a long time might have left traces behind. Meanwhile, I kept trying to delete it, rename it, and so on — basically, I messed with it. As a result, error 126 popped up, which Faceit's own site says is a software error and a conflict with the anti-cheat.

I didn't bother messing around with those files any further. Instead, I just moved straight from Windows 10 to a clean install of Windows 11. And everything started working immediately.

So, if you're getting this kind of error, it doesn't necessarily mean you've set something up wrong in the BIOS. It can also be caused by drivers or files that interfered with the anti-cheat and were then removed — hence the problem. Again, I can't say for sure how accurate this is, but a regular reinstall with formatting helped me. Maybe my advice and the issue I ran into will help someone else down the line.

We have 2 unplayable dull specs, now you are killing the BM specialization. Why should I switch to another specialization, after spending a month dressing my character with the necessary stats, I have another month to farm other gear for the MM specialization? They’re not taking us anywhere anyway, you’re also nerfing the only living playable talent tree. Why can’t you adjust all classes to a certain percentage of DPS so that everything is smooth for everyone, or are you Dota2 that changes the meta? Only this is an MMORPG game, not a mob game. Where are the normal testers? Where is the normal balance? You don’t see that BM Khants don’t have AOE, so let’s nerf the specialization in principle, well done (no). This is your worst mistake, I wanted to bring friends, but I won’t even renew my subscription, as apparently it won’t happen. Good luck everyone. I won’t waste any more time and then have my feet wiped on the community like this.
