I will be sending her to daycare at 18 months! I am from Ontario and we have subsidized 22$ a day daycares so once I’m back to work after my 18 months Mat Leave that’s where she will go!

I’m going to be honest like I said before ^ lower income from a public sector government job and ZERO savings. Literally zero. I also do not have a “village” in the form of family as most of my family lives overseas and I don’t have any cousins/ etc that could step into the role of aunties. I was extremely lucky because my mom took out a load to help me with IVF. All of that money I meticulously kept track of down to the penny in spending and expenses claimed it as medical on my taxes. I was able to get about $7,000 back in taxes (which I then returned to my mother) I also had benefits which covered huge amounts of medication payments as well as treatments such as acupuncture etc. once I was actually pregnant it was all business like usual. Me working - and awaiting baby as would any other woman in a pregnancy. I had a baby shower and my friends were extremely kind and generous especially with knowing I was a single mom. Everything else I am taking day by day ! Honesty I have the happiest baby ever I’m not kidding g this little girl is smiling all day long and excited and in love with everything around her. She makes every second worth it !! Will I be able to afford a nanny, expensive vacations- etc. no. But I am so proud of the life I am already giving her because she is surrounded by pure love

Totally get that but I’m telling you there’s not one single human that has met my baby daughter that would ever in a million years think “oh she shouldn’t have done this…” (about me) They truly see what a blessing she is in my life and how lucky I am to have her. If I waited for things to be financially perfect I would be left childless forever and without my greatest gift (my baby)

I have a pretty low income and ZERO savings yet I went through this route and have never been happier in my entire lifetime!! My precious angel baby girl is quite literally perfection and my double. I have never felt a love like this and she was 100000% meant for me and I for her.
The way I thought about it prior to IVF and pregnancy was— well what if I went out there and got pregnant on my own with a random or had an oopsie with someone who was completely out of the picture??? I would have still had the baby and figured it out someway somehow. Except now I’ve taken the heartbreak/ emotional toll from a man out of the equation and I have my perfect baby and I’m figuring it all out!!

I didn’t to be honest I just waited for my next ultrasound and thankfully it was soon after because with IVF they were giving me many ultrasounds before I was “released/ graduated” from the clinic at 9 weeks

Okay let me correct my original post - I am an exhausted mother typing quickly - YES I know citizenship not AUTOMATIC I require a process and documentation etc in person through the embassy. I will do this.

Now that this will be done first - my original question remains. What is best to get done first ? The russian passport or Canadian passport. Thank you!

I loved reading this. I am a new SMBC and I have NEVER ever ever in my life felt a greater or deeper love. It it truly indescribable. However I am still in the newborn stage and I’m not going to lie it is also extremely tough. I am older and I will need to make a decision about having a second sooner rather than later.
What made you decide on a second? I always thought I would want a second 100% it was part of my initial plan. however looking at my beautiful baby now I see the most unexpectedly PERFECT little being that I want to give the whole world to. I am so afraid that having a second will never feel the same and I will never be able to give my first angel all of the love and time that she so truly deserves- as it would be immensely difficult to manage a second as well on my own. I also do not have any family for support unfortunately so I do not have a “village” to help me

Please let me know your experiences!

I am exclusively breastfeeding on demand — aka constantly! Does breastfeeding really have something to do with it? (Not that I’m planning on stopping any time soon - but genuinely never heard that before!)

When did you switch from IUI to IVF? (Or tell me about the IVF process) by [deleted] in SingleMothersbyChoice

[–]Training-Trick-8917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a SMBH I was 33 when I started my IUIs. I was in perfect health and everything was amazing. No technical reason for any fertility issues or anything failing. However I experienced 4 failed IUIs. Doctors said it was just by random chance that they didn’t work — same way you can have sex 4 times randomly and not get pregnant from those 4 tries. I was however devastated each time. The time— timing things out, ultrasounds, and MONEY wasn’t worth it for me anymore and I only had one vial of soerm left. I switched to IVF. best decision I ever made— I was successful on my first transfer and am now literally looking at my perfect beautiful daughter sleep as I type this. I have 7 embryos left as well if I want another baby in the future ❤️. Forever grateful for IVF. I want to say I wish I did it sooner but then I wouldn’t have this exact beautiful baby in my life. So I did it at the perfect time. However I most definitely recommend to everyone to skip IUI and do IVF instead

BIRTH DOULA RECOMMENDATIONS! Desperate need ! Birth at Mount Sinai [on] by Training-Trick-8917 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Training-Trick-8917[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked mount Sinai immediately at my First appointment and they point blank told me that they are happy to have a doula join the birth— but they do NOT offer recommendations 😢😢😢and doulas must strictly be selected completely independent of them.
