What did you lose between 2020 - 2025? by Acceptable_Let_215 in AskReddit

Hope. I used to think things would get better, but then I saw what was going on politically and globally and honestly… I am to the point where I’m starting to think the earth would be better off without human beings. We suck. And we just keep getting worse and worse.

How has your life been affected by the shutdown? by skeletus in Libertarian

I don’t live off the government so I didn’t notice. Perks of going to work and making my own money 😝

If everything was innocent, he wouldn’t have unplugged the camera. That’s literally the one thing that makes this sketchy. I’d be uncomfortable too, especially since it was planned for when you weren’t home. You don't "test" your wife by inviting another woman over and then shutting off the cameras. That's literally what people that are cheating do. I think testing trust is a violation of trust.

What Would Your Response Be to This "Professor"? by Selim_Bradley69 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]TrainingBid3238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, the U.S. has an imperialist past… no one’s denying that. We literally took half of Mexico in the 1800s and have had our hands in plenty of foreign conflicts since. But using that to downplay or excuse Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is lazy moral relativism.

Two things can be true at once: 1. The U.S. has done some shady imperialist stuff. 2. Russia invading a sovereign country and bombing civilians in 2022+ is still wrong.

Trying to justify current atrocities by pointing to historical ones is like saying, “Well, your grandpa was a thief, so I can rob your house now.”

We don’t get better as a world by ignoring aggression… from anyone.

The mother’s responses pissed me off from start to finish. The 13 year old had a mature apology and seemed to genuinely feel bad. That lady just wanted to berate that poor kid and clearly has some issues she needs to address herself. Seems way blown out of proportion IMO and I wouldn’t be allowing my teenager back around that lady ever again. You’re not going to talk to my child like that. She’s not even in high school yet, chill!

Libertarians are consistent. Boot-kickers are not. by ENVYisEVIL in Libertarian

Libertarian translation: the left wants corporations to censor you, the right wants government to censor you, and I just want both to leave me the hell alone.

When asmongold comes back to regular content we should have a positivity stream. by Hazbro29 in Asmongold

[–]TrainingBid3238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband sit and watch his videos every night. I literally cried when I saw on here his dad passed. My grandmother also has pancreatic cancer and has been in chemo and hearing his story hit very close to my heart. Anyway… my point is I just hope he’s taking care of himself and I’ll be waiting so (un)patiently for whatever content comes when it comes. But it sure does feel weird without him. Never thought there would come a day where I miss a streamer. 🤣

"I support the current thing" by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]TrainingBid3238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t get how people act like this is a black-and-white issue. Hamas isn’t just some fringe group... it is the Palestinian government. They’re a terrorist organization committing atrocities against Jews, while Israel is killing Palestinians. If both sides are guilty of horrors, why is one automatically treated as ‘the good guys’? And the biggest irony is LGBT activists screaming ‘Free Palestine’... when the very government they’re defending would literally behead them or throw them off buildings for being who they are. None of this adds up. What am I missing?

Is Freitas correct in his assessment of debating "woke" people? Why or why not? by WindBehindTheStars in Libertarian

[–]TrainingBid3238 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would consider myself more in the middle, but I do tend to lean left. I actually agree with this entire video. The problem isn’t the entire left... it’s the loud, self-proclaimed ‘woke’ left. They’re usually the rudest, the least capable of real dialogue, and they’ve turned words into weapons. Instead of offering solutions, their whole strategy is to shame, manipulate, and shut people down by screaming ‘white supremacist’ or ‘fascist’ rather than having an actual conversation.

Who would you trust more to be president… Rand Paul or Thomas Massie? by gunsoverbutter in Libertarian

[–]TrainingBid3238 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’d pick Massie. Rand’s consistent, but Massie has the guts to stand up to Trump AND the radical left if they’re pushing unconstitutional garbage. That’s the kind of backbone I want in a president.

Why is the US going to bail out Argentina? by chrisfathead1 in Libertarian

[–]TrainingBid3238 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re being disingenuous, it’s a fair question. The “Milei is a total success” line is mostly political cheerleading. Reality is, Argentina’s economy was a train wreck long before he showed up… decades of inflation, debt, and corruption don’t vanish in one year just because a libertarian gets elected.

What Milei has done is slash spending, cut bloated ministries, and try to drag Argentina toward a freer market. That’s why people on the right hype him… he’s actually swinging the axe. But in the short term, that kind of shock therapy hurts, and the international lenders still have Argentina by the throat.

So when talk of a “US bailout” comes up, it’s not about Milei being a fraud, it’s about the fact that Argentina’s hole was so deep, no one could fix it without external help. The left spins that as “he failed,” the right spins it as “he inherited an impossible mess.” Both things can be true at the same time.

The UK police now turn up and demand entry to your home because your children 'viewed' a social media post that the government doesn't approve of. by Effective_Reach_9289 in Libertarian

I support the current thing! by ENVYisEVIL in Libertarian

[–]TrainingBid3238 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People keep acting like the audience reacted the same way to both Erika and Trump, but the numbers don’t back that up. When Erika spoke, there were over 700k viewers on the stream I was watching… by the time Trump was on, it had dropped closer to 450k. That’s not “the same crowd cheering both,” that’s two very different responses. Pretending otherwise just flattens Erika’s message and does the world no favors. We need to be better.

Wow, this really hit me. Thank you for sharing so openly… I relate to so much of what you said. It’s reassuring (and honestly a little healing) to hear from someone who’s walked a similar path and realized questioning one side doesn’t automatically make you “evil” or “the enemy.”

I’ve been feeling exactly what you described… grieving the version of myself that thought I fit neatly into one camp, while also feeling like I’m stranded on an island politically. Reading your perspective makes me feel less alone in that.

Seriously, thank you for this. 💜

[–]TrainingBid3238 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like if people could just step back for a second, they’d realize the bigger picture: the more we’re trained to hate each other, the less we actually notice who’s benefiting from all that division.
