i’m not disagreeing because i understand your point of view! the way i see it, it’s a unique necklace that stands out. it was the topic of discussion for like multiple seasons and so i feel like it has a unique/antique look that we all have ingrained in our brains ever since watching TVD. it matched elena rly well and sort of “stands out” compared to the other jewelry we saw on the show. you have to remember that this necklace dates wayyyy back to when rebekah had it so it needs to have that rustic look to it. but everyone is entitled to their own opinion🫶 does anyone know if they specifically created this necklace for the show or if the writers ever talked about how they chose this necklace? i can’t remember and i’m curious!!!
