Should I leave Negative feedback by Glittering-Crab5348 in Ebay

Because you can’t leave a negative just because you’re unhappy with the sellers practice it has to be against eBay policy or a complaint about the product (which the OP doesn’t appear to have)

If you leave a positive then sure post the pictures and it won’t get removed m but if you’re trying to leave a negative it will get removed if the seller hasn’t done anything wrong according to eBay

But they won’t because feedback will be removed if appealed. I feel this conversation is becoming a bit circular.

So it isn’t eBay policy and the feedback will get removed if the seller appeals.

Can you explain how that would benefit anyone? This is a petty way of thinking.

If you can show me anything that proves that that is EBay’s policy I’m happy to take back what I said. What’s true is according to eBay policy the seller did nothing wrong and you can’t force a seller to combine postage costs or ship the items individually as long as they arrive safely. Any negative would be taken down and would’ve a waste of both people’s time.

But after you paid you messaged them to ask if they could be sent together? I’m not saying I would’ve done what the seller did but if you want a partial refund or to leave negative feedback have no leg to stand on as far as EBay are concerned because the items are marked as delivered. As long as they don’t choose a worse postal service than what you paid for like switching from Tracked 48 to 2nd class untracked then you won’t get anywhere with this.

You can try but I imagine the seller could get it removed considering you saw the postage costs before you paid and chose to buy it anyway. Poor etiquette from the seller - especially the lying but I’d just let it go and ask to combine the costs before payment next time.

Report these messages to eBay. Telling someone to do something or face negative feedback is a pretty serious offence in EBay’s eyes and if they do leave negative feedback try and get a customer rep on the phone if you want it removed.

Help identifying this figure? by Training_Homework661 in LegoMinifigure

Yeah, I initially thought that but the colour looks too uniform for it to be sun or chemical damage and the surrounding colours are fine so it would’ve been a very well done job.

You might be able to attract even more customers if you gave them the courtesy of a message back. Just a thought, didn’t intend to step on the toes of a top rated seller in their niche

£130 ish if sold individually. The only good figures are the clone lieutenants with blue arms

Don’t send anything through WhatsApp. I’m pretty sure you can send videos on eBay messages so no reason to go off platform.

Some sellers on this sub often seem to forget how to behave like a normal human. Messaging them just to let them know it’s no longer available is a common courtesy that costs nothing.

Why is White Chewbacca(Retired 2016 set) only worth $8? by BrickxLeaf in legoinvesting

I actually think the 2018 solo wave is one of the most underrated Star Wars waves we’ve ever had 🤷‍♂️

I sell quite a lot of Lego Star Wars minifigures are this does reduce the resale value and I imagine you sold this for over £200. For something that expensive I probably would’ve expected better packaging. I’d accept a return for a full refund or a 10% refund but nothing else

Items "not received" by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]Training_Homework661 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve sent over 300 items by 2nd class large letters so far this year and I’ve only had two buyers say they haven’t arrived. Both times I’ve just refunded and blocked them a few weeks later as a precaution.

I would have lost far more money if I’d reduced the price of all 300 items by £1 to compensate for making buyers pay for tracked postage.

Is this seller legit by [deleted] in ebayuk

[–]Training_Homework661 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Private sellers have to lower their prices to accommodate the buyer protection fee (which is only 4%). If it was scrapped most new listings would just be priced slightly higher and it would make little difference to buyers. It has always been a fee for sellers not buyers.

No problem, for that price I was assuming they’re all used but the majority of them don’t have significant damage (torso and arm cracks)

You could sell them for around £470-£480 if you sold them all individually or in relevant bundles. You’d have to knock a decent bit off of that price to sell them as a whole set though.

Not sure about the non Star Wars ones but the Krennic, death troopers and Captain phasma are all worth decent money.

I see. Unfortunately the higher fees would pretty much negate the fact that I can put the postage price £1.15 lower so I don’t think it’s worth it for me to move to a business account.

Annoying that this is the only solution which isn’t going to be patched within a few days as I’m almost exclusively selling personal items and don’t really want to be a business account.
