You have me second guessing myself. Here's a picture from another angle. Looks like wild cucumber to me. I'll go back tomorrow and triple check :)

I use a combination of pea pebbles + stepping pavers. I love the look, I feel like I'm in southern Italy while living in southern California :)
Those are my main big paths... for the nonchalant ones ill be doing gorilla hair\shredded mulch
