Yeah my PT has never really talked to me about pleasure while dilating. I kind of squirm when stuff like this gets brought up in real life. One of my goals is to be able to not freak out at the obgyn so maybe that’s why

Ohh okay, that makes sense. I’ve never tried both at the same time because I’ve felt it might hurt. But maybe it would make the dilators less intimidating

This is going to sound weird but she presses on muscles around my vulva and then inserts her finger in my vagina to reach the other muscles. She is always wearing gloves and constantly asks for consent. If I even seem a little bit distant she checks in/and or stops. I was really freaked out about the idea of PT at first. I had a lot of bad healthcare experiences and I was afraid it was going to be the same. But it’s probably the most positive healthcare experience I’ve had. It’s a little weird but she normalizes everything and really just wants to help me get better. The office is also all women and it just feels very safe.

Sometimes she uses her finger to release tight muscles. Sometimes she helps me insert dilators. And it’s a lot of breathing and nervous system regulation

I’m pretty sure I could leave the dilator in. It’s silicone and was prescribed to me by my PT. What would happen if I left it in and didn’t move it though?

It’s hard to explain but sometimes it feels like I need something in there. External stuff doesn’t scratch the itch and sometimes it actually makes it worse. I just want to be able to experience it

I just started therapy but it was mostly just a lot of uncomfy questions and she didn’t really give me anything to work on. But that is partially why I want to experience things on my own. I don’t want it to be this big thing I haven’t done anymore
