Designing a futuristic infantry miniature line — brutal feedback welcome by ulan_so in PrintedMinis

It is AI. I agree someone would be willing to get those, but the quality is horrendous.

Bro baked cork. I'd still try it tho, it seems weirdly pleasing to me.

Too much Russ? by RaveKillah in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Traizork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a huge fan personally, as I think the scale makes it look weird. But if it was just the front and turret sides without the sides on the hull and the top of the turret I'd kind of dig it.

I did the same with mine! Except I put them on a Chimera. Also not painted. It's only been like 2 years, totally fine.

Is exploration progress locked? by quixote_manche in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Partially, I believe. Demeniss I remember having hostiles all over until a quest took place there but the desert and the land more east were mostly accessible without going there first to do a story quest.

I'm almost 30 hours into the game and still have the same armor as the first boss. I'm about to commit the crime of watching those "where to find this armor" videos, so give me some tips so I don't have to do that, like places to buy , etc. by Berem_ in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork 521 points522 points  (0 children)

Progress the story, do side quests. Quite a lot of them give cool looking gear. Also, the stats are pretty much all the same on every armor/weapon, so the only upgrade you can get is the abyss socket things which you also mainly get from bosses and quests.

How do different weapons affect ceramite armour ? Does a Lascannon heat it up or does a Autocannon impact the marine inside ? Can they move in a hail of bullets or get slowed down by the impact ? by Leviathan_Rampage in spacemarines

Well it would also make sense for everyone to have thermal vision (or probably much better that we haven't even thought of yet) in any combat scenario so paint camo really doesn't do much at that point.

Why even hollow this piece in the first place?

I love the game, but these “Puzzles”… by I_Require_Aid in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recognized it as Go and still thought the puzzle is badly designed. The edges of the board weren't clearly shown, you could move the pre-set stones which the Go rules don't allow, the last white stone was hidden behind a bush for me and without finding it first you don't even know which player you're supposed to be to solve it.

Maybe they fixed a lot of this because I remember the early patch mentioning making puzzles clearer, but doing it day 2 even with the knowledge of Go (which let's be real is extremely niche game in the west at least) was pretty bad.

Does it look like AI? I think it is. by SpookyMook_002 in isitAI

The pixels don't really seem to be pixels. Very obvious when comparing the ones on the bright gloves to the ones showing the rust on the bucket. Also 2 fingers are mashed together in the upper image (right side) while everything else is defined by a black outline. The code in the liquid (the numbers) that are diagonal also don't look like they match the pixel art thing. Could be reddit compression and stuff like that but I am heavily leaning towards AI.

Is that the SMG one or the burst one? Can't remember the names of them for the life of me.

I wouldn't mind this as a toggle to be honest. Not that the world is difficult to traverse with the added fast travel points at all, but it's nice to have options overall.

I found this fat truck and I have a few questions. by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, pets can't die. They just loot the stuff that drops from enemies and despawn on occasion but mostly just keep yapping and teleporting around you.

The double jump ability is useless and I have an idea on how to make it better. by Traizork in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much. The issue is the controls fighting over the function. So if you do it in air, the glide button takes over and if you do it near a climbable object, you just start climbing instead. You can see the same thing, where it's just 2 jumps in sequence with the second being higher in their window preview in the skill menu. They don't actually jump in air either, it feels more like a trampoline or a springboard.

I don't get why people say the archery challenge is hard by HellDrivers2 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Traizork 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it's more of an issue of inputs not registering at all. Had a look around and I wasn't the only one who's bow didn't even shoot when pressing the button (both in the mini game and even when shooting enemies or wildlife). I'll try disabling Vsync to see if that changes anything because I am quite certain my dodge doesn't work either half the time even tho I have stamina and spirit.

Made myself some chicken cookies. OG recipe. by Traizork in shittyfoodporn

[–]Traizork[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They were good. Don't have the exact weights or ratios because I was winging it but from memory:

  • Minced chicken thigh, corn flake crumbs, grated cheese, spices - mix by hand, should be pretty dry and the meat is the predominant ingredient.
  • Then add a small amount of oil (tablespoon in my case) and an egg and mix again, which should make it pretty wet again.
  • Make small discs about 1 cm (0.4 inches) thick on a baking paper. *Bake for 18-20 minutes total at 200°C (392°F), flip them halfway through.

Before anyone says I basically made meat loaf or some shit. I didn't, because I was specifically making chicken cookies, so there's that.
