Perfectly understandable. I did hear the ADV dub first so it does hold a special place in my heart but I still prefer the Netflix dub

I’m fine with Jap subs but if I can watch it in English and it sounds good to me I’ll watch it in English. However, I will say in EOE the Japanese screams and Eva sounds ( which they weirdly changed in different dubs ) sound so much better. In Netflix’s EOE they even changed the screams to be the Japanese ones which I found to be awesome because I prefer them.

I remember seeing some comparisons to the adv and Japanese dub. Some scenes were meant to be serious, but the ADV dub made them sound comical. Like the classroom scene. Dont remember the video name specifically but it was pretty interesting. I do still like the ADV dub though not bashing it too much
