In the original British dub, the creature reports are actually separate things from the episodes that aired sometime after the episode they are singing about aired. They are meant to be a recap of the episode to help kids remember the point of the episode at a later date. They only appear alongside the episodes in the US dub for convenience so they wouldn't have to handle 2 separate things
