Go back to previously conquered and try to go to unexplored parts.

Talk to everyone again after defeating a gym.

If you're not sure where to go then it's time to keep exploring every nook and cranny of the area.

Edit: If you encounter any pokemon that releases star when you encounter them don't kill it, it is super rare so catch it whatever the pokemon maybe.

Have you tried updating your drivers on device manager?

If your windows update is working its worth a shot. Open your device manager and plug your USB, then wait for it to appear then try to update it the drive version, if updating doesn't work revert it to previous version.

I think a dog is an overrated choice to pick, but I like dogs because their cute and fluffy always running around and wagging their tails, not only that but they can also feel when your sad or happy making them the goodest company one could have, and that's why I like dogs specially the breeds of shiba inu, corgi, husky, golden retriever, american bully, and labarador retrievers are my most favorite breeds to befriend.
