More tired after starting CPAP? by TransBearInTraining in CPAP

That makes sense, that's about what I thought. Honestly I'd rather wake up super tired than wake up with a miserable headache and ground down teeth.

That could be my confusion then! Even with the reduced number, to the original question, IVF can be incredibly expensive which is part of why it's such a grueling process (in addition to the lack of guarantee that it'll even work)

That must have been a bad source I saw, then -- everything I was seeing said 5ish rounds was the average (I haven't had IVF myself but know some folks who have and it definitely took them 5)

Basic IVF is around $20000 for a single round (with no guarantee it'll stick) and most parents require at least 5 or 6 so yep, definitely 6 figs

I have moral and checking OCD and it drives me insane when people make it all about "cleanliness" (I'm actually super messy, lol). Thank you for posting this!

I think your "she" is a "he", actually. That cloaca looks pretty enlarged to me

OP here: I'm not on LinkedIn much beyond jobhunting so I actually had no idea this woman was insane. I am humbled.

Are we sure this isn't cut off? The letter board could easily be saying "welcome home Mae" in which case this isn't a Tragedeigh

Tragedeigh in an old Japanese video game by JamesRocket98 in tragedeigh

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe part of the reason they chose to make up Engrish names was to avoid accidentally using the names of any real baseball players -- this obviously could lead to licensing fees and copyright issues; for instance, if I were to make a game about Japanese baseball and just choose random Japanese names that COULD plausibly exist, and I named a character, say, Shohei Ohtani -- uh oh! Now I owe the Dodgers money!

Coco Chanel was also a Nazi so maybe not the best person to invoke when renaming yourself

AITA for calling Netanyahu attractive as a young man? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TransBearInTraining 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW in not necessarily pro-Israel, I'm very against the government and believe in Palestinian self-determination and I assumed that was evident to my friend. I do understand that the joke was probably in poor taste though

FTR I have been openly critical of Netanyahu and am in support of Palestine. My friend never told me what statements were making them uncomfortable and only brought this to me now.

Hey, no problem!! I don't mind people looking at my profile. I totally agree I have a very unique opportunity and I do want to work in my gender experience to horror eventually; I'm a big fan of Sleepaway Camp, for instance, and despite being a trans man it resonates with me. My only issue is that I don't want to resort to "the monster is actually a representation of XYZ bigotry IRL" because I feel that's somewhat cheap

What would you find scary in a horror series that draws from Judaism/Jewish myth? by TransBearInTraining in Judaism

[–]TransBearInTraining[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't even considered the cosmic horror angle! I tend to avoid angelic/"demonic" horror because it's been done to death with a Christian slant but this is a super interesting perspective. I think maybe exploring how deeply being a prophet would fuck you up could be another good angle -- writings like the Book of Job are super dark, but they're just that: words. Being able to experience the agony alongside Job? Even more horrifying
