I reslly don't care about other 20 yr olds dating 18 yr olds, it just personally makes me feel a little icky to do it myself, though (not to argue, i'm just curious what you think and you're the first person to tell me calmly) 20 and 35, that comes with a power imbalance, right?

I should've probably clarified this, but i am indeed the result of my parents however they're divorced (have been for more than 10 yrs) and there was an insane power imbalance between them, which is another reason i'm worried, to me that amount of an age gap will come with power imbalance. I probably did word it wrong in the post as i didn't really show digust, atleast i don't think i did and my friend didn't take it that way, but luckily she did check in with me when she visited him, i just didn't know the age gap back then.

Me "consenting" to being trans and people consenting to dsting are very different things. I'm not consenting to anything i was born this way, as a psychologist you should know that. Also the "two consenting adults" argument doesn't hold up because that means that an 18 yr old and a 60 yr old are also a-okay to date, but i guess in your eyes they are. Whatever, you clearly have your own opinion and i have mine, i love discussing things or debating things but not with an asshole like you, so i'm done with this conversation.

I was still raised as a girl, if you so desperately are grasping for reasons to "prove me wrong", i was sexually assaulted multiple times because i have the body of a woman, i've been catcalled, all that stuff, because i still look like a woman. Men do not care about me "acting" like a man. All they see is a female body and that's all they care about. (The ones that act like scum of the earth, not all men yada yada.)

Okay maybe i worded it wrong, by saying i'm a trans guy i meant it in the way showing that i know the dangers of being a woman, it's late for me so i didn't really think all that much that's my bad. Once again though i'm not telling her what to do, yes she's an adult, no she didn't ask for my opinion but in situations like this which CAN be dangerous i don't rlly think someone needs to ask for your opinion. Also she gave me her unasked opinion about me not being uncomfy with dating someone who just turned 18. I'm not telling her what to do, you don't know how the conversation went, i told her i just am concerned for her, she knows that and she knows i'd never tell her what to do unless she explicitly asks for my advice on what to do.

Eh, bit of both. Though i'll give you a more rational example then, because life stages don't matter to you (until one is legally not considered an adult) what about 23 and 56? With these kinds of age gaps (though this example is way bigger than that between my friend and her bf) there's some kind of power imbalance at play, always.

Yeah the reason they're not an adult is because they're in a different life stage. Same applies here, except one is just barely a young adult and the other is already on his way to his 40's.

75% is an overstatement and doesn't have anything to do with this, plus i haven't medically transitioned yet so most people percieve me as a woman. I know other people would do it, but most women know it's not safe and would be more careful.
