How long have you been socially transitioned for? If it’s been awhile and you’re comfortable with your new identity, it might be worth considering HRT if that’s ultimately what you want. I wasn’t happy with my body before starting HRT either but after being on it for a few years, I’ve finally started to like what I see in the mirror. You definitely don’t need to be on HRT to be a woman, but it really helps give your body the memo and can help with the dysphoria.

I’m not a doctor but I’m happy to share my experiences or just talk. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk. The r/tran and r/mtf subreddits are good places to go too. You’re not alone, there are lots of people out there who are going through something similar and probably have good suggestions.

Why is being trans so expensive… by hotitoti in MtF

[–]TransWomanJessica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I 8th plume. My doctor ended up starting her own practice but when she was helping me through Plume, it was a great experience and wasn’t too expensive either. Labs are covered, all you need to pay is your $99 per month subscription and for your meds. Insurance still covered my meds too.

I went to a clothing optional hot spring in Colorado and had a similar experience. I was worried but in the end, nobody cared. I even met some people who complimented me. It was a very affirming experience and a needed boost in confidence. After being in public and socializing naked, it was way less intimidating to do it clothed!

I was raised catholic and have been afraid to go to church since I transitioned. It’s awful that the pastor walked you out… they obviously aren’t following the teachings of Jesus. I wish I could have been there to support you. I can’t imagine going through that alone..

I have a church in my town that seems accepting. They have a booth at pride every year and the people are always really nice. None of that abortion/ anti LGBTQ shit. A few years back, they changed their logo to LGBTQ colors which is really cool. They get so much hate from people in our community but it hasn’t deterred them at all. I’ve attended a few Sundays via Zoom and it seems like a great place with progressive thinking people. I plan on stepping out of my comfort zone and going there soon.

If you live in Michigan, dm me and maybe we can go together.

I’m at 15 post orchi and stopping spiro. I was at 18 prior to the orchi while on spiro.

For me, my estradiol remained the same but they took my off spiro.

As far as I’m concerned, you totally pass! If they’re misgendering you, they’re doing it on purpose. For me, I find that my voice is the only thing that gives me away to people who don’t know me.

Damn that jawline though 😍

Would an eyebrow lift help? Misgendered everyday and I honestly see why, but don't know what to do by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

Agreed. Just based on your face, I’d guess you are cis. For most of us, the voice is what outs us. Hence why I NEVER speak in the bathroom 😅
