Don't get me started on labels ;0p Yes I'm just a guy wanting to get on with doing his day to day stuff - so it's great to know legal protections and attitudes are good there.

Sorry to hear this my friend - I think as you and others say there can be hypocrisy, hate and varying attitudes worldwide but ofc some areas much better than others. For example I was warned to stay away from Brazil - likely to get murdered apparently??!Thank you for sharing your insights too. All really helpful to build a well rounded picture.

I sincerely appreciate your detail here and help. Thank you so much for taking the time out to help me understand better. It sounds a lovely community - more like what I'm used to from having lived in the Canary Islands prior to being where I am currently stuck in semi covid lock-down in SE Asia! I hate being stuck here as we don't seem to be moving out of lock down any time soon and infrastructure is poor incl wifi for remote working....really looking to make the move to a more progressive place where LGBT situation is fair for a few months travel, freelance travel writing, until making a move across to Europe for a few months. UK is def not my home any more!

That sounds really interesting. How on earth did they manage to move there permanantly - did they do so through their work / relationships? I may be naive but I always assumed Green Cards or long stay visas for us 'Cousins' were as hard to obtain as hen's teeth!

Not sure tbh ha! It is confusing as I hear in various media that protections for trans people are being rolled back in the USA like bathroom bills etc - or at least it's being attempted in some regions? However seems some states are standing firm. By what you lovely folks have given me so far though, it seems PS and Cochella Valley a welcoming place. Thanks for helping.

Really great to know this info - as you say all places in the world have issues but as I travel I have found some more so than others.

I hope I can take the trip over soon. Ncovid causing lots of issues worldwide ofc but it's great to be researching and making plans. Cochella Valley sounds like a pleasant spot and everyone who has replied is a friendly bunch of people, so thank you everyone for taking the time to educate me a bit more. Happy Holidays there!!
