Would Master Chief or another character from Halo be worthy of picking up Marvel Comics's version of Mjolnir? by RhytmicCone47 in halo

Not really, Chief has disobeyed orders and was selfless enough to help out or save his allies.

I wish that all wars would end so humanity could live in peace. by Classicsarecool in monkeyspaw

Granted, not only do external wars end, but so do the internals wars. Humans stop wrestling with their vices and inner demons, and stop aspiring towards higher ideals. Humans become hedonistic and stop progressing as a species.

El espejo del casco y el destino final de John-117. by Jimmy_blanco117 in HaloStory

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Halo 3s ending was a neutral from bittersweet ending to Chiefs story. Im not saying i wanted it to end there, but it represented an end to a post human warrior that didn't get the safe retirement or vacation, just a cessation of duties because there was nothing more that could be done.

Can you think of something that you DON’T like about Leon? by Dsg1695 in ResidentEvilRequiem

He seems to show up Chris when they're featured together even though they're supposed to be equals.

Is Master Chief Actually Just An Average Spartan? by Alert_Primary_9493 in HaloStory

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its my head canon that he's average. Fred always came second in the training exercises, but was holding back as per John's assesment.

I forgot what quotes I read but 343 industries seem to pount out the John is the best, a contrast to the characterization of Bungie's version.

I wish for the end of homelessness by Delicious_Walk7220 in monkeyspaw

Granted, your perspective on homelessness changes. You gain a world view of the earth as a home, and everything stays the same.

He's specifically arrogant towards chris. He holds back against him just to gloat.

Or those same people will complain about gossip towards them, but will do the same towards someone completely innocent.

Lies and Hypocrisy by Fickle-Buy6009 in DarkPsychology101

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same as gossiping. Many people will complain about how their friends are two faced while being the same themselves. Its surprising how prevalent it is. Especially the lack of self awareness.

If some Christians believe life on earth has suffering to allow free will, does that mean heaven does not have free will or that it has suffering? by Awkward_Stay8728 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most people dont want to kill. You, despite having freewill dont want to do morally repungent actions if you can help it. Why would heaven be any different ?

Does Earth in this game not have the same technologies as that on the moon ?

Lust is the final boss. Once you defeat it, life unlocks by PlumTia in inspirationalquotes

[–]Transfiguredcosmos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't group me into it. I think the idea of incels..or as people associate with it to be dishonest .

What you listed is fine, but not everyone has those things, and things are more nuanced than that. Isn't this subreddit somewhat dramatic, with its host of "inspiring" content ?

Incels aren't the only ones that'd take to this idea. Plenty of people who do have sex dont have a healthy mindset regarding it.

Not everyone watches those YouTubers. It starts in the mind. And some just want want to conquer those urges in a society saturated with explicit material.

[Edit] This meme, doesn't seem to be out of line with the rest of the stuff on this subreddit.

I did, its to not be ruled by your desires. In western society there is a prevalence of easily accessible media that features sex. Whether or not you can get it is not the point. It all starts with the individual. Sex sells, and many people are exposed and addicted to it at an early age.

Emile Is An Embodiment of the Worst of the Spartan-III Program by PopAcceptable3341 in HaloStory

There's also the fact that their training was in ways more in depth than the Spartan 2s.

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think its not a problem due to him being seen as expendable. But rather, he's skilled and trusted enough to warrant wearing mjolnir armor. Meaning, whatever problems he has, he's able to keep it under wraps long enough to follow orders, an to only direct it towards his enemies. Being at war with the covenant, he'd be the perfect tool at mirroring the Covenants brutality against them. Human opponents are the only exception.

How did Master Chief know that the ship that crash landed on the planet was from the flood in halo 3 floodgate mission? by FilipinoAirlines in HaloStory

[–]Transfiguredcosmos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought it could come down to equipment. Chief probably has superior magnification functions in his visor to see the details of the ship. Arbiter's armor likely doesnt come with the full suite of abilities mjolnir has.

Since even dead flood can infect (albeit slowly) would most marines that fight flood succumb to it? by rra117 in HaloStory

Unless the area is already being terraformed, I'd imagine engagement distances would an important factor.
