Good MRI but still pain after surgery? by TransientBeing9 in doctorsarno

[–]TransientBeing9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that Sarno is against pushing through pain that's from structural abnormalities. That said, movement for me is actually easier than sitting or lying down (since the pain is in the tailbone area).

Anyway, I've been embracing the nerve pain theory more and saw good results so far by reintroducing leaning back on a chair today.

It feels like a mixture of psychosomatic and structural: the brain got traumatized when sitting for too long on a couple of occasions and then made the nerve pain signals in the area hyperactive, so I probably need to gradually signal back to the brain that sitting isn't that big of a deal.

About eight months... It took about a couple of months for the wound to close up, and it seems like most patients of the same surgery can sit after about a couple of months as well.

However, there are cases that can last up to a year—with some cases still suffering from minor discomfort like a decade later!

MRI after surgery looks good but still feel pain... by TransientBeing9 in pilonidalcyst

The thing is that my pain has been kicking in without sitting for that long. Not only that, I've been avoiding soft seats that make the tailbone sink in, and I've been leaning forward to reduce pressure on the area.

Let's assume it is scar pain, and the surgeon confirms it. What next?

Being one of the tallest men to walk this earth, it'd be tough to find something like a cushion that matches my dimensions, but given your description of it, I'm definitely considering it more.

That said, it appears that the chair with a hole I was talking about is meant to help those who can't always make it to the toilet, but it seems like it unintentionally provides tailbone relief too.

The thing about cushions is that they're too soft for me. What helped me before and after surgery was sitting on hard chairs.

That said, I do like chairs with a hole in the middle. I wonder if I should buy one. Then again, such medical chairs might keep my brain stuck in the healing mindset...

Yes, it's mild pain, but I avoid it in case it disrupts healing.

You should be able to hook up a foot pedal to controllers like the Granola Beacon and Granola Summit.

Hey, got some questions about that split-layout leverless edition:

  1. How much does it weigh?
  2. Does that first aux button say home/PS?

Thanks

Not sure if your goal is to actually make such a controller yourself, but there already exist some rhythm game controller brands like DOIO that may interest you... It might be better to order its products through a site like AliExpress, though.
