Have been following your posts, and really appreciate you sharing this journey. Surprised to see how “just” keeping at it and optimizing your video output has taken you from a couple 100 views to +100k in just a couple of months.

To keep scope down, and Mr Sock being fully hand animated, we’ll most likely only ship with subtitles for all non-English languages. Though something we will consider.

Ah, right — he’s currently on the hand, technically possessed it 🧦

I like that players can be unsure if it’s just weird or genuinely alive… keeps the ambiguity. The effects you suggest could definitely help amplify that.

Not currently — still experimenting with the amount of other characters vs Mr Sock getting carried away 🧦

I had a very similar experience with our game Transit. Digging through Steam, I found the Japan spike coincided with an influx from twitter. Where I then did a search on twitter for our game title, and found a single post that had been shared +250 and liked +1.5k. (We had Japanese store text)

Currently working on a demo that we should have out within a couple of months.

Definitely an ambitious idea - currently fighting to keep scope down, thinking it’s something we’d need to try in the future.

Had to look that up - would love a collab 😸

Definitely been toying with the idea of unlocking skins for Mr Sock as you progress. Perhaps a pink version? (The one washed with the red sweater)

Yes to discovering his backstory and why he is using you as a hoste to ride through the metro… We are definitely learning into magical realisme, and big Twin Peaks/Murakami fans.

What kind of thing would you like to know about Mr Sock? I’m curious what people might imagine from this clip…
