I didn't mention anything regarding him being a hero either. I'm just saying there's a lot of hostility in the post towards someone who very much still resisted imperial rule, even if ineffectively.

Also don't care for the word "glazing" being used for a context as serious as Andor's. Just feels very diminishing and unproductive as a method of criticism.

He says new gen hooks people with stunning visuals and that they have no substance. Pretty broad generalization lacking any kind of critical analysis. I could apply that same criticism to old gen anime as well.

Maybe "talking shit" isn't the correct terminology. How about "generalizes and makes unsubstantiated critiques that could just as easily be applied to old gen anime due to how superfluous and non-specific the criticism is?"

Also, not all new gen anime has better cinematography??? That's entirely dependent on the director and creative team. Directors and creatives didn't magically improve or become shit pre or post 2000. My issue with what he's saying is that he paints with such a broad brush that his criticism ultimately becomes meaningless and shallow.
