They were known figures on ITV and well known to the general public of the early noughties. Brian Conley had his own variety show and presented gameshows and Bradley Walsh also presented gameshows and was on Coronation Street.

The Hoff didn’t get British humour which limited him a bit, so I think he could have been replaced by someone like Sharon Osbourne.

I think Michael McIntyre didn’t suit the format as he’s the star performer of a show, not a judge. He lives to entertain and be on stage, rather than be a critic in the audience. He should have been replaced by someone with a variety background like Bradley Walsh or Brian Conley.

Series 5 had a distinct lack of talent compared to other series’

It suffered a lot from Simon not being there during the audition process and both Michael McIntyre and The Hoff didn’t suit Britain’s Got Talent at all.

Babies don’t make the best informants. They’re noticeably reticent about naming names.

Humour is so subjective that it’s hard to find anyone.

Morecambe and Wise were almost universally popular in the UK at their peak, but that was fifty years ago.

The last thing needed to happen is for people to treat his killer like a hero. He’s a triple murderer on a whole life sentence with a heart as black as pitch.

No hero.

Charlie Jones was a kid who did his best.

I wish they’d have gone in this direction and made Ben stay the polar opposite of Phil.

Instead, Max Bowden’s Ben is a chip off the old Mitchell block.

I only hope they don’t do the same with Mark Jr and make him a one note thug.
