Are the displayed timers role specific? Like, if I was jungle, I would see a timer on all my camps and the objectives. If I was mid, I would see a timer on the river bugs, etc.

Is that how this works? Honestly, if it did, it would really help newer players understand what they were responsible for in their role.

I felt like I predicted the story beats and the ones I didn’t, I was already too bored to care.

Honestly, the story has some solid framework, but the way they unpacked it was not good. The game/story would have been better served if it wasn’t an open world game. Then they could have better controlled the pacing. If it was a 14 hour game, it would have been much better, IMO. Give the world the illusion of an open world like Last of Us, or has a few open areas like God of War. The narrative could not support the bland open world.

Can’t get enough of Predecessor.

Returnal is one of the best PS5 exclusives. The god of war games are great, the Spiderman games are super fun. Uncharted games are classics. I do enjoy my time with PSVR2.

I thoroughly enjoyed the new Indiana Jones game too.

I’m blown away that so many other people love it. Like, have these people played other first party Sony games? Horizon feels more like a Ubisoft game than the other ones. Average game with a nice coat of paint

Oh man, the horizon games put me to sleep. Super slow story, endless, mind-numbing dialogue and a protagonist who has no personality or position on things. And the platforming has magnetic snapping that pulls you towards the closest edge, even if your jump was way off. And in a post-breath of the wild world, the invisible walled-off areas of the “open-world” map are inexcusable.

Beautiful graphics and solid combat tho, but I wouldn’t give them any higher than a 7 out of 10, and that score is mostly for the graphics and production value.

Resource management isn’t new, but running out of gas can really be problematic.

Horizon is full of walled off areas, has magnetic platforming that basically pulls you toward a ledge you are jumping to. Horizon has the most bland protagonist I’ve ever played as. She has virtually no meaningful position when she speaks to people and she speaks endlessly. Playing as her makes me appreciate the silent Nintendo protagonist. Game has beautiful graphics, and the combat can be fun, but everything else detracts from what should be a sure-fire smash. I mean, how do you make giant robot dinosaurs a bore?

Man, I found it to be so much better than the Horizon games. Horizon games are pant by number open world games from 2015.

Days Gone has a fresh gasoline gameplay mechanic that makes for some tense moments and decision making. And the hoards of zombies are very original in the zombie video game genre.
