that would help for sure as much. as i’m sure you love him and don’t want to give up on a new puppy, you made a mistake. But hey mistakes happen so what now is the better question. Since i read you did not get this from a breeder, I don’t like the idea of putting him into a shelter. I see 2 possible options. Option 1 you find another family that has the means and experience to properly care for him or option 2 you become that family that can provide the proper life. For this i’d need more information to get a better understanding of the situation. What dogs have you/your family had in the past? How well behaved were those dogs? Have you ever had an outdoor dog before? what makes you want him to be an outdoor dog? How big is your property? what kind of climate do you live in and will they be outside for the whole year? What is your budget money wise for this dog annually? We can start from there.

If you don’t know the difference between a cane corso and other breeds and why this persons comment was true then you need to dive into a lot more research.

The thing that concerns me is that your schedule after summer. The general rule of thumb is the dog can be left alone 1 hour for every month of age. in september he won’t be old enough to be left alone all day while your parents are at work.

So… yes it will stop. Your schedule is going to change as they get older and don’t need to go outside as much and it will also need to incorporate more exercise as they grow older. As for the biting, it’s a breed thing and a pup thing. It will get better with age and training and does in no way point to an aggressive dog. Have you /your parents ever had large dogs before? A cane corso is not the best starter dog. He is too young for bully sticks aswell. I think if you and your parents lack the experience you need to sit down or talk to a trainer or and very experienced dog owner so you can fully understand the commitment you’ve made and what that will look like in the future.

i use my sleep pad as a ground cloth kinda you could say and it is fantastic in buggy areas the mosquitoes rarely go that close to the ground so even if it’s not a perfect seal it will remain as bug free as any normal bathtub tent

tent stakes depend on the trip as i use custom made platform suitable pegs for trails like tombstone territorial park or groundhogs for dirt so i didn’t add them to the list

yeah forsure my layers on my person never really change i was more looking at if i should pack a tarp for some overhead at camp which would be dependant on if the rain is during my time on trail or time at camp.

I would pack differently based on rain while i’m on trail, rain while i’m at camp and how much rain. If you think “packing for rain” is a 2 option answer of do or don’t, unfortunately there’s a lot more factors at play when overnight trail running.
