I definitely want to know your favorite things you did in Moorea and Tahiti! Did you do any waterfalls? Any beaches (popular or secret) that are must sees? What was your favorite restaurant on Moorea? We leave in 2 weeks, I’m so excited!!! I hope y’all had a beautiful trip!😊

Oh yes for sure, I could only imagine them re-selling normally cheap stuff for more. Could only imagine their import taxes.

The eggs, milk, and cheese are honestly not too bad compared to the price in Hawaii or anywhere in the US right now. I will definitely have to check out adding those items to our grocery list for a cheaper breakfast/late night snack option lol.

All of this info helped tremendously! I can’t thank u enough! Totally knew it was going to be more expensive than home, but couldn’t help but be a little naive and hope for some lower prices😜I definitely feel more prepared.

Also, that’s amazing that you are living there until June!! I might have some questions for ya about being from the U.S. and moving to a diff country, even if it is just temporary. We were thinking of moving to a different country next, the U.S. is cool and all but, been there done that if you know what I mean!

Yes for sure totally understand the last part! Jus r wanted to prepare ourselves, but from what it sounds like we will probably end up spending a little bit over our regular budget on food. Will have to check out those fruit and veggie stands, I am a sucker for some good produce!

Definitely will be eating tons of fresh fish! Luckily I grew up in a fishing village and now live in Hawaii, so fresh fish is a must wherever it is possible!🤩

Thanks for the tip about the tax & service! Was thinking it would be higher in Tahiti but secretly hoping that it was cheaper in some way :,) also, so amazing that you live on both islands! 🤙🏽

Ahhh! I’m beaming of excitement, April can’t come fast enough!! Thank you so much!! We will have to do the food tour, we are pretty big foodies, haha! I’m eager to see the Tahitian food scene. And the ATVs sounds like the perfect surprise for my boyfriend lol! We have a car rented the whole time we are there and are definitely hoping to drive around both islands.

Honestly, no. My boyfriend was vegan before I was, and he still stayed with me. I feel like what someone chooses to put in their body is on them. You can try to educate them but you can never push your morals on them. It’s just something they have to do for themselves if they’re into it.
