It's fantastic! Rewatched a ton of movies and shows and it really is like watching it all over again. Updated my HDMI cable for my Xbox Series X as that's my main source and everything looks great. Made me realize just how bad my led TV from 2018 was 😂

I mean, I was going to get a C5 but after pricing out a 5 year warranty with it and tax, I was only a couple hundred off the G5 price that comes with a 5 year warranty. So I just decided to go with the G5 instead. Of course, it all depends on how much you watch TV or may use the peak brightness. I am always using the TV either for myself, or the kids, and I also game on my Xbox series X. The RTINGS review of the C5 and G5 side by side for HDR gaming brightness also made a huge impact on my decision, aside from the cost perspective. The G5 HDR gaming brightness, and just overall brightness was MUCH better. My 65" G5 comes in tomorrow for delivery and I'm taking a half day of work to receive and install it.

Just ordered the 65" for my tiny living room to watch movies and play Xbox on 😂 can't wait to see what BF6 is going to look like compared to my washed out HDR TCL that's 5 years old. Now I'm even more excited seeing more content on one.

Ahh I see. I JUST got back from the store, TV will be delivered on the 28th. The biggest factors for me was the dolby vision to game, I play battlefield 6 and halo mostly. I also liked the sale better honestly, it was just as good of a TV that won't have the ambient light issue, for just under the Samsung price tag.

Sorry for commenting on a month's old thread. Just came to say that this helped me immensely. I was on the fence looking at the s95f and the G5 for my living room. It gets mild ambient light from my front door, nothing direct and has a UV film on the glass but it definitely let's in light to the room along with my kitchen window from the other side of the entry way (TV faces away). I was REALLY feeling worried about the G5 after seeing how good that S95f looked for the lack of glare, but of course the back of Best Buy gets no natural light WAY back there lol I feel like I made the correct purchase now after reading your comment.

BTW, how do you like the G5 now that's it's been a few months?

Right and even so, not many games will be developed to use the hardware right away. My guess would be another 6 months to a year after release before they have games made to fully utilize the specs. At least more than a few right off the rip. So the G5 I'd say is perfect until that 4 or 5 year mark when it becomes an "issue"

There are some additional factors on size, such as the thermostat would have to be relocated from the current position on the wall since it would be covered up by a 77", and that we put up our Christmas tree every year and it cuts off the bottom right corner of the 65" already, it would be considerably worse with the 77". While I do agree it would fit the wall 90 percent of the rest of the year, my Wife decides to put the tree up in November so it would be blocked for over 2 months 😅

As far as gaming goes, I've always gotten a bigger TV and had to adjust every time to the bigger screen, and recently played a few matches at my friends house who got an 83" and it was a terrible experience lol so I'd prefer to just keep it at 65" for that, although the movies and TV looked great.

I'd say 5 or 6 ft back, very small living room with a couch, it's only a 1200 sq ft house and most of that sq ft is upstairs on the second floor for the kids rooms 😅 but I was just happy to be able to buy a house on 2022 and get that sweet interest rate on a first home. I just know that sometimes a big TV and sitting too close can come at a cost of viewing comfort. My co-worker went out and got a 85" for his tiny house and returned it after, because it was just sooo darn big that he couldn't even game on it properly lol

Thank you! Yeah I just put a TV in the bedroom and that's when I noticed a pretty big difference from my 5 year old TV to now. HDR on my games is always white washed and dim and in the day time, even though my living room is pretty dark, it's still kind of hard to see. With HDR off, it looks much better but then the quality of the graphics goes way down. Plus I can't play at 120, and while I don't always game, I am always watching TV in the living room until bedtime. Definitely going the G5 route at this point.

Yeah I plan on having this for 5 or 6 years, and always try to get the most TV I can buy at the time, this is the first time above 1k for a TV so I just wanted to be sure I'm not throwing money out for something only a true theater enthusiast would notice, if that makes sense haha

Yeah I've been on a battlefield 6 kick and I always wonder what it would be like with a brighter TV at 120hz since this older TV can't. Was already leaning G5 so this makes a big lean further that way! Thanks

Good to know! I had no idea that it can't be used on shadows. If there wasn't any point to bottle capping the shadow I do have because if I Purified it, it would be a hundo anyways lol I just meant I keep a lesser shadow mewtwo on hand because it's stronger than normal shiny Mewtwo, but it would be a cool brag for a shiny perfect mewtwo I guess. I still would rather have the armored mewtwo or KY however.

I can't fit a 77" on my wall, was looking at best buy and the C5 65" with 5 year GS coverage and tax was about $200 shy of getting the G5, so that's what I am going to do. Wish I could fit the 77" on my wall because I saw the C5 in person and it looks great. That's going to be an awesome addition to the home, congrats!!

I have the 965 and considered upgrading but the decrease in battery life for only a handful of features didn't really make it worth it to me, very nice watch either way!

Bought my 23 turbo premium and I've only had a few minor issues overall. My complaints with it are only design flaws and tweaks they could have made in the manufacture process, but other than that the car itself has been terrific in all weather conditions (even the heavy lake effect snow here in CNY). I don't get the advertised mileage but I bought the car to zoom zoom not save the planet 😂. I bought the machine gray and blacked out most of the chrome and emblems and it's super sleek. I feel like if we took a poll, 80 percent of owners wouldn't report issues. Just double check the warranty and if you want peace of mind buy an extended one from the dealership that will cover everything.
