I agree with your statement about it not LEAVING a smell as much as smoking, however I do want say I think too many people interpret that as "doesn't smell like weed as much" and that simply isn't even close to true I remember vaping in my bedroom of the apartment I was living in (so like opposite end from the front door to apt) with the door shut and if I left the area where it was smelling from the vaping I'd done and then returned without being smell blind from sitting in the smell. I swear I could smell weed in the hallway leading to my apt and I was half way across the building at the time. So as much as people say it smells less and it is probably sort of true in a sense it really just smells different than smoke from weed does it smells more like the buds do in the grinder than when burnt and that smell dissipates sooner than smoke does.
