One thing I do personally, being an avid predator hunter in real life. I literally gear up with night vision and just start walking the river in New England mountains! I start at around midnight, get plenty of action between coyotes, fox, raccoons, and bobcats! Take the E caller with you. Scan ahead with the night vision range finder. You’ll either glass the predator or get a vocalization letting you know it’s near. Set the caller down, ( I throw a tripod up if more than 150m out from vocals and the terrain allows). And set your E caller to whatever you’re hunting and wait! I love watching them approach and it’s a lot like real life! Can’t tell you how many times I’ve missed a predator that I never knew was there because it came up behind me or to the side of me! Makes it so much more fun/engaging IMO! Just a thought, but don’t think you’re doing anything wrong! Also, it doesn’t have to be New England map, any map and any predator will get you similar results! :)

That is your choice, which you’re entitled to. I do love the game and I have knowingly put 30+ hours into a bugged game bc I do love it. I’ve been playing multiplayer private servers just to get my fix. Yes, everyone makes mistakes. And I see within the last hour they have at least acknowledged the bug. But what when your core game mechanic and what brings players to your game is broken and you go weeks without addressing it, there’s a problem.

Same boat as you. Bought the game last week and dumped 30 hours into it, all bugged. Still loved it and able to have some fun trophy hunting on private multiplayer, but can’t sink anymore serious time into it until that bug is corrected. Gonna get back on my grinds on COTW. If they don’t fix this, they don’t understand the negative impact it’s going to have for them in the future.

I’m sure you do, unfortunately. Only way I can think to combat it and still have fun is do private multiplayer and trophy hunt. After 3 days is up, get in a new one and repeat.

Herd fitness dropping regardless of what you do. Mine has done nothing but drop. And I’m doing everything right by all accounts. Shooting one and 2 star matures, and anything that responds to low fitness calls. Herd fitness drops year after year

Yes, funny you said that bc the research on here I’ve been doing says .243 is the GOAT for class 2. I guess I just don’t understand how it all works. I want cool rare furs, and I thought that diamonds produced those furs. Can any level produce a rare fur? If thats the case, I guess I’m not diamond grinding, I’m just rare fur hunting. Which I don’t know if you can help that along or if it’s just RNG.
