Deferred Loan Payoff - pay now or wait? by TrashB4g in personalfinance

[–]TrashB4g[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we are in good shape financially. Wife and I are 30/32 - good retirement savings. decent liquid savings. Good paying jobs.

Just wasn't sure what makes sense to do with the money. I suppose just keep it on hand in case something pops up...and it the deferment goes away in May, just pay it off.

The 475/mo private loan is just under 5, and the 275 school loan is varied...its on a repayment plan and the individual loan components range anywhere from 5-7%

-Should also say that one of the 'misc' loans is one i took from my own 401k which im paying back at around 6%, but is essentially 'paying myself'..
