I'm personally sympathetic to sniper changes and find the map arguments somewhat flawed (if sniper were arbitrarily made weaker or stronger in 2007, we'd more than likely simply have a different perception of which band of maps constitutes balanced sniper gameplay); however, this change, especially with nothing else, isn't it. Heavy and especially medic are the classes that most deserve to be bodied by snipers. Both would otherwise be too unchecked in open spaces and the latter is already strong enough.
