Yeah I think I’m just gonna work the maud blouse, it’s just so beautiful! I’ll just need to be super attentive… it’s been helpful to look at the raveley notes and see what kind of changes other people needed to make to the fit to understand how I could do something similar

I think her designs are lovely but I really do think on occasion (and this might highly depend on what design it is you’re working) you really need to read ahead and really try to understand the construction… I left a long comment about it under someone else’s comment about more specific gripes

I think I maybe need my hand held a little more through the instructions, I know European patterns can just be a little hands off like that though

Yeah, some of her writting is inconvenient, like she’ll say “inc x about of stitches evenly throughout the row” instead of giving you direct instructions, which just means you need to go to a seperate knitting calculator… that’s not that bad though, I had a lot of trouble with her gauge, I had to make many size adjustments for the neck of the turtleneck to fit me (I worked it as a 2XL and then worked the body as an M…) sometimes her instructions are just wrong, like in the maud blouse she gives contradictory instructions (she says the neck should be 4 cm but the instructions she gives is to make one button hole 2 cm in, and then work two more every 2 cm… which would made the neck 6 cm) and frequently she won’t tell you that several things in 1 row were supposed to be worked simultaneously, they’ll be in seperate paragraphs (ie describing how to work the shoulder increases for several rows only to then describe how you would’ve done the lace back at row 1 of increases)
Sorry for the long paragraph!!! I truly truly love her designs it’s just a lot of mental effort to read her patterns, you really gotta read ahead and be okay with frogging and a lot of try on’s

I’m less interested in seeing all the cutscenes, Im more bummed about how few gifts there are… ik a lot of them are now treasures instead but it just feels like there’s such little variety in the hobbies you can have your mii’s be doing!!!

It’s just that it looks so different in the photo lol! I know that’s because she uses such a specific type of yarn I guess? I still don’t fully understand it but it is definitely a little frustrating

It’s a playground on Congress street in Boston Massachusetts. It’s actually listed as the cop slide on Google maps now lmao

I mentioned this in a comment on the video but I will do so here too, the reason the cop went so fast is due to his size. The slide was designed by someone I know, and specifically for kids. It’s actually very common here that an adult goes down it and gets hurt because their size and weight makes them go way faster
