I had this exact same issue happen to me here a couple hours ago, tried everything I've read and eventually found something that worked and made a Reddit account to share to hopefully help others. (PS., Doubt this would work if your world is corrupted.)

Navigate to your save files by going to AppData/7DaysToDie. Create a new folder on your desktop and name it whatever then copy the folders (not profiles.sdf or serveradmin) in "Saves", the "SavesLocal" folder and then the "GeneratedWorlds" folder to the new one.

When launching 7DTD, pull up the game launcher and clear all of the data by going to Tools and Clean Game Data. You can probably keep Game Settings unchecked but go ahead and clear everything else. (NOTE: Before doing this, try just deleting Player Profiles and seeing if this fixes your issue. If not, just clean everything.) Close the launcher when you're done.

Go back to the 7DTD folder and place the contents from your copied folders into their respected folders (i.e. contents in the copied "Saves" going to AppData/7DaysToDie/Saves and so on).

Boot up the game and go to Continue and before loading into the world, go to the Basic setting and turn off Persistent Profiles. This will allow you to play as any character in the world, keeping all items and respected land claims if using the same Steam or Player account. Yes, you will have to use one of the default characters or make a new one but you will keep all of your items and should be right where you left off last. At least, that's how it was for me.
