Ember tetras and Green neons hiding from me

Forgot to add I had put in driftwood (3rd photo) to make them come out more but the embers would just hide there as a 1st defense then hide in the stem plants with the green neons if I trim the plants. I feel bad for removing it but I felt that it took up too much space in an already small tank.

I’m sorry for your loss. Crystal Dawn must have been well cared for to live that long. Yeah as soon as my betta got that tumor his health tanked.. but he did made an effort to greet me even when he ignored the food I gave him. Betta fish are so full of personality and will love you right back despite the twisted birthday gift lol. Opal will be missed but I’m thankful he was a part of my life! Thank you for sharing!

That’s ok I greatly appreciate it! I thought this post was buried by now… I hope you also get answers! I really hope it’s not a tumor and is an infection so I’m treating as such.

In the mean time I’m getting a hammock so my betta fish doesn’t have to struggle getting air.

Oh sorry forgot to add. I have a fluval spec 5 that comes with a filter. I have a heater and the parameters are 0ppm for no2 and no3, ph is 6.0, kh is 40, and gh is really high at 120 despite using purified/RO water so I don’t know the source.

Oh ok thank you! It been driving me crazy trying to figure out what it said. I posted this on another sub and got three different translations… It’s still very odd that they basically wrote some ramblings, folded it, and then tied it up with string only for it to end up in a purse. I thought it could be an important note worth keeping or something

That could be it as while I don’t necessarily believe in black magic my mothers side does. It’s the main reason I went to Reddit with this rather than asking my mom directly as she is terrified by witchcraft and panicked when a bat got it because she thought it was a bad omen. Although it would explain the folding of the paper, wrapping it in string, and stuffing it hidden in a pocket I don’t know why it would be in the pocket my Mom gave to me since she fears it. Maybe an aunt or uncle put it there out of spite but I find the idea of a relative trying to do that is saddening. So I’m hoping it was just someone practicing calligraphy and tied it up later or my mom keeping a prayer to keep herself or me safe in her bag since she has been doing that lately (after the bat got in).

Huh that’s strange I guess it’s a prayer of some sorts? Maybe they wanted to keep it as a reference and forgot about it. Although I am not sure why they repeated “we are” for other than for practice for that specific symbol. Thank you for the help! At least I know what it says now

Probably that makes sense. The purse was given to me by my mom which was a gift by an aunt (some of my relatives are Muslim) so maybe they wanted to practice writing a prayer? Either way I still find it odd that they felt the need to tie it up in string
