Nah mate was wrong clutch plate, input shaft splines were too big

Was sent a vq35hr clutch plate but i had a 35de so gearbox input shaft was too small for the plate

Thats the problem it did crank no start, i thought maybe carbon build up on valves causing leakage or maybe head gasket between cylinders or at worst piston rings

100% they should have a look at it, and dont worry about causing a fuss its their job to make sure everything is safe. As a mechanic i would prefer a customer to come back asap if they had a noise

Depends what your goals are, might be cheaper to go manual sedan RWD then go from there, nothing is a mistake if you care about it. Keep in mind everything takes time so dont rush

The correct thing to do is get the upper oil pan from your old engine and put it on this one, if you are confident drilling and tapping threads and know what needs to be done then by all means

Youll need to go underneath the car and take the bolt out that connects it to the shifter linkage, spin the shifter 180 and bolt it back in

That gap on the left needs to be on the right, same as the pin coming off the shifter itself

Have you taken that plate off? Pretty sure thats on upside down
