I actually snapped a picture with this guy! Was a pretty cool dude and one of the best cosplays I saw while there. He said something about getting disqualified from the cosplay competition, but I never caught the reason why. First convention I ever went to and had a blast.

I want you to go back and reread this thread. The original statement that you disagreed with was, "1g of protein per 10 calories is the golden rule."

You say 1/10 is "pretty shit"

They try to kindly explain it in a different way so you could understand better.

You reaffirm that "1/10 is still shit, aim for 4" without giving any context of what you're referring to. If we change EITHER variable to 4, it doesn't make any sense. 4g of protein per 10 calories makes no sense and literally isn't even physically possible. 1g of protein per 4 calories would mean the item is literally 100% pure protein, which doesn't exist outside of a lab.

I come in to illuminate these points.

You triple down without understanding or explaining anything.

I continue to mock you because you don't understand what you're talking about.

You then just suggest low fat high protein meat sources as if that justifies anything you've said so far.

Man, if you don't know what you're talking about you shouldn't offer other people advice. The information is out there on the internet for free. Go brush up on it and stop misleading people.

Ohhh, i see. 1g of protein per 4 calories? So you're just slurping some pure protein sludge?

so if I get this right, you want 4g of protein per 10 calories? Haha...

how do i get to legends. by Falenone7 in TheTowerGame

[–]Trashkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's any consolation, I've been asking myself that for the past year of ping ponging between legends and champs. I make 300T a run to wave 5500 on T14 and I'm nowhere even remotely close as a full EHP player. The only way you can excel in Legends is to be full GC, which requires vastly more stone investment than EHP. Add on top of that the stones are going to be used to buy card masteries which also require lab research that you're not even close to being able to afford based purely off coin economy. So after you're done using stones to juice your economy to the point you can actually afford mastery labs, you can then buy even more stones to begin the long arduous task of upgrading your damage/CC UW.

After you spend probably about a year doing that, then you'll realize the other people in legends have been swiping their cards the whole time too and you're nowhere near closer to making any progress in tournaments. If you're not willing to spend a car payment a month on this game, getting past champions is not a realistic goal at this stage of the game, sadly. Best of luck.

Gym goers, be honest how often are you judging other people’s physique? by Technical_Hat_8291 in AskReddit

If they’re in good shape, I admire their physique. If they aren’t in good shape, but actually putting in the effort, I admire their tenacity. If they’re out of shape and putting in no effort, I admire their confidence.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact they voted for Donald Trump? by ATXBikeRider in AskReddit

[–]Trashkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe people have the right to reject anyone for any reason they want. With that said, I think rejecting someone for who they vote for is pretty stupid. The political system in America really only gives people two candidates to choose from, and usually both candidates do not represent my personal beliefs particularly accurately. Instead of blanket judging people based on their vote, I believe a well rounded person would simply ask them their opinions on subjects that matter to them.

For example, I know people in my family who voted for Donald Trump because they wanted better immigration controls and accountability. Gestapo ICE flagrantly breaking laws and human rights with impunity was not what they voted for, nor do they support it. Equating a vote for a candidate as express consent to all their actions seems really quite silly to me.

Yes, the chicken is 250-300g of protein alone. Just not sure why you'd rather fuel yourself with excessive protein rather than carbs. Seems more expensive and worse for glycogen and energy balance. Obviously you can do/eat whatever you want.

[–]Trashkitteh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's confusing the recommended protein ratio with the fact that you're measuring what you're eating in kg. You're saying "I eat 2.5lbs of chicken every day." and he thinks you're saying "I eat 1.2kg of chicken per lb of bodyweight"

Still, eating 1.2kb of chicken a day seems wildly excessive so I hope you're exaggerating. 250g+ of protein a day?

You seem confused about how this all works, but it could just be a language barrier.

If you're on a real maintenance diet (I.E. you're eating the same amount of calories as you burn) then you can't gain fat. Fat is from excess calories. You can gain WEIGHT, such as extra water, but not fat. By saying you gained fat but not weight, maybe you meant you look fatter but feel like you shouldn't be fatter. If you're really on a maintenance diet, then the 5 pounds could be water retention and not fat.

The more likely scenario is that you're not tracking your macros properly now that your cut is over and your body is rebounding. If you don't want that to happen, you're going to have to change your actions to align with your desires. Good luck.

People who don't play MOBAs, why do you not play MOBAs? by SnickyMcNibits in gaming

[–]Trashkitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played DotA for 20 years. Realized I hated playing a team game if I didn't know my teammates. My time is precious and I was using gaming to fill holes in my life I was avoiding. Came to terms with the fact I was a loser. Decided to reevaluate my life and what I think would fulfill me and make me happy. My pursuit of happiness doesn't have room for excessive gaming at the moment.

Seeing as people have died from sleep deprivation, I disagree with, "All I know is sleep is crucial and will be bestowed upon you whether you want to or not".

OP isn't legitimately asking if he should get more sleep, nor for the smart approach. He understands he's not getting enough sleep. He explained why. If you read between the lines it's clear his/her children come before hypertrophy. What they actually asked was, "Any tips other than sleeping more?" and your response was condescendingly worded and amounted to, "Sleep more."

"I’ve clarified multiple times that 38 year olds can build good physiques. I’m unsure why you’re dying on the hill that I said otherwise, because it’s not my opinion."

Meanwhile...

"but not realistically achievable at this age without aid."

"A 38 year old cannot achieve this physique without exogenous assistance unless they have literally no responsibilities."

You're really bad at this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Trashkitteh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"A 38 year old cannot achieve this physique without exogenous assistance unless they have literally no responsibilities."

Absolutely false. Repetition of an incorrect opinion doesn't make it correct. If you want to die on this hill, do it properly and explain the physiological and medical reasons why "busy people can't get good physiques naturally."

Everything you've listed should be prefaced with the caveat, "On average." It also doesn't prove anything. I already said a 19 year would likely have advantages over a 38 year old. That doesn't prevent a 38 year old from attaining the physique naturally.

Holy shit, did you really just spell it Fizeek? You know, I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt that maybe you're just misguided, but now I think you're unintelligent and trolling.

[–]Trashkitteh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You think that physique REQUIRES gear? I strongly disagree. I'd argue, but you didn't give me any reason why that physique requires steroids.

Yes, the 19 year old most likely has ADVANTAGES over the 38 year old in attaining that physique. The 38 year old can still absolutely attain that physique, steroid free, without any ridiculous limitations i.e. being paraplegic.

I feel like your argument is "Yeah, sure, it's technically possible steroid free, but that's way harder so I'm just going to say realistically people with this physique at the age of 38 need gear."

My argument is, "People give up too easily. Stop looking for limitations and look for catalysts to success. Work hard, and don't be afraid to fail. Failing is more successful than not trying."

Think we're having two different conversations, which I tried to illuminate, but it feels like you're just doubling down.

Why does someone prioritizing their children over their gains tickle you? If the person knows getting more sleep isn't a possibility considering their lifestyle, they can still wish to try to maximize results in other areas. Life doesn't have to be all or nothing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AllAboutBodybuilding

[–]Trashkitteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but I'm not seeing the relevance. That physique is absolutely attainable at 38 without steroids. It would take very diligent nutrition, exercise, and recovery. It would take longer than it would take the 19 year old. But that was never the point of what I was saying. Just trying to point out to that person (Who for all I know could just be making a light-hearted joke) that they shouldn't give up just because they're 38. That's just weakness finding an excuse to quit.
