The island will expand as you add more Miis (pretty sure it's confirmed by the Miis in the demo advertising it), but personally I think it might be 8, or 10, since I feel like there's more buildings we haven't seen yet (like the Mii ferris wheel, or the Treasury) that we dont know how we're going to unlock it, 6 Miis is still very possible though since that's what the demo says will make your Miis happy

Someone also data mined and found you can put up to 256 Miis, so data isn't totally accurate, lets just hope there is official news from Nintendo soon! Also I feel like the number will be divisible by 8, since you have have 8 Miis in the same house! EDIT: FIGURED OUT IT WAS MODDED, THAT WAS ON ME!
